With Pacific Rim: Uprising moving to March, Blank Panther now has the entire month of February all to it's self. I think there's a big chance it'll be the breakout hit of 2018.
Doubt it. Civil War barely got past 400m despite great reviews and WOM. Infinity War will open higher but it'll have a shit multi and be extremely frontloaded.
I don't understand why they killed these characters off only to bring them back in the very next film. Even if there is an in-universe explanation for their return it'll still feel cheap bringing them back.
Paul Feig himself said that Ghostbusters needed 500m to be a success. It made less than half of that. So unless the merchandise was a huge success there not going to make a sequel.
Thought this was pretty meh. Some parts were really boring and bland which is surprising when you consider how much material the book provided. Idris Elba's character was enjoyable but only because he was played by Idris Elba not because he was actually well written. Overall I didn't hate it but I'll probably never watch it again.
The film was released at the height of the series popularity. I remember having the games and watching the show on Kids WB so I was extremely excited for this film. While I still play the games today, the anime was definitely a product of the times.
The new release date is definitely better since it's no longer being sandwhiched between Deadpool 2, Incredibles 2, and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
