    It it passes 500M then Messiah will be greenlit, if it’s not already. For a filmmaker like Denis and franchise like Dune sometimes it’s not always about the money. You have a high profile director and a blockbuster that’s getting universal acclaim and will play for Oscars.

    Idk but it feels disingenuous for anyone to say a possible 70-80M opening is bad or underwhelming. Anything above 60M is good tbh. Sure maybe it could’ve broke out (it still could) but that’s not the movies fault. By all accounts it’s going to be big overseas and do well here. 🤷‍♂️

    I think this will be WB’s Fury Road. They’re going to put all their chips into this movie. Even if Furiosa and Joker are good, they’re going to push Dune more.

    The film is hella bleak. Its pacing and direction is like an action movie but the film is dark and bleak. It’s all the better for it
