  1. I am curious how it made her feel to learn it was bad, not unlike how the disappointing response to Eternals affected Kumail Nanjiani. We may know down the line.
  2. Right now I see a 65% verified score and a 42% overall score. By comparison, Morbius has a 71% verified score and a 64% overall score.
  3. Of course, I'm gonna go see this. I'm just wondering when we're gonna get the MonsterVerse version of Destroy All Monsters.
  4. Don't take it from me. Regarding ABY, I've read some people feel the same as I do and others who feel differently so you can make your own judgment there. With Madame Web, there clearly doesn't seem to be much to her in this movie due to the writing of her character and the other characters.
  5. Sounds like a studio executive trying to be clever and subversive.
  6. "If you take on the responsibility, great power will come." That's what I read to be the line.
  7. I'm skipping this but don't care about spoilers. I've read rumors about an inverse of the great power/great responsibility line. Is it true?
  8. She was solid in The White Lotus as well. I personally didn't think she was particularly good at comedy in Anyone But You and I've seen a good number of reviews express that sentiment, but clearly there are plenty of people who didn't think so or didn't care. Don't think Madame Web will enjoy the same surprise success that Anyone But You did, though.
  9. Now at 15% with 67 reviews, but if you do the actual math on fresh/total reviews between Madame Web and Morbius, the number is lower for Madame Web.
  10. Here’s what the real injustice would be: SJ Clarkson never works again *while* Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless continue to get work.
  11. The top critic score on RT is below Morbius and the Metacritic score is as well.
  12. Kelly Marcel is indeed like Simon Kinberg on Dark Phoenix. Or David S. Goyer on Blade Trinity. SJ Clarkson is different in the sense that she already has directing experience, but it has only been for TV. The others are writers doing their first directing jobs.
  13. I posted something a few weeks back about a certain line that was rumored to be in the movie that got deleted because it was considered a spoiler.
  14. Okay, but your opinion is not the reigning authority. The thing about Madame Web that should have caused Sony to say stop was Morbius. After the response to that movie and seeing this movie had the same writers, I would have said scrap it.
  15. It's on its way there. The review count I'm seeing right now is 54 with only 9 fresh, so even though the score hasn't been updated, it's technically down to 17%, which is really 16.67% based on actual math.
  16. Putting aside TV spots, Bob Marley put out at least two trailers for the movie. Madame Web only had *one* trailer.
  17. They *should* have buried it. Or really, stopped it before it started. The level of promotion is ultimately just almost the absolute bare minimum, which is what happens when a studio doesn't have confidence in their product.
