  1. First reviews have come in. They’re leaning positive so far based on the ones I found via Google, but you can probably guess what the positives and negatives are.
  2. My point is "getting people back to theaters" is not a viable strategy when there's no guarantee of safety. When Tenet opened, we were certainly not in the clear of this thing. Now as you say, we'll arguably be in a better position than we were then. How much better should determine whether keeping it in its current release date is viable.
  3. For me, the time travel mechanics are arguably similar to the first Terminator movie in the sense of past and future events being co-dependent on each other. So in that regard, I accept it. The biggest issue for me is the Protagonist: He’s a blank slate of a character who only exists to serve the plot and that gives us no reason to care. He’s given no motivation whatsoever. Was that Nolan’s point, considering he’s only referred to as the Protagonist?
  4. I'm interested, though not overly excited. Antonio Banderas as the villain gives me some hope that they'll be leaning more into the comedic aspect, whereas the first film jumped back and forth between comedy and straightforward actioner.
  5. There's no denying the stuntwork is absolutely bonkers here. I feel compelled to make some diagrams about what happened, though. 😆
  6. I think it needs to be said that no one is going to feel the exact same way about what is respectful. I personally feel like tossing the character aside because the actor died is disrespectful because character always takes precedence over actor. And I feel like a recast wouldn’t be replacing Chadwick, but more so carrying on for him, continuing and finishing what he started.
  7. I was okay as well. You could very well honor Chadwick by bringing someone in to carry on for him and continue his story and finish what he started.

  11. That NY Post article seemed to suggest he was snubbed in part because of his brand for making movies like Grown Ups. Someone made this suggestion after Jennifer Aniston gave him a shoutout at the SAG awards:
  12. Ditto. But after the massive disappointment that was Sam Smith's song for Spectre, I'm just glad we have a song here that feels purposeful.
  13. I actually like this song because it feels like a song that’s going to set the tone for the movie.
