Looks like someone had predicted 40M and Valerian is at 53M

51.6M$ on first week. It's seems that Valerian is not doing as bad as everyone was thinking it will do. It's already better than former Besson's production Lucy and other 2017 blockbusters like Assassin's Creed, Ghost in the Shell or Alien: Covenant. Could end nearly at the same level that Rogue One.

In this article they also speak about the strategy of Europacorp who wants to develop TV show in the US (Taken will be adapted as a TV show and broadcasted on NBC) and Cinema in China.
