I am not going to be around for a bit. We are on the last days with my grandmother. She is home with us, but she has stopped eating solid food, is having a hard time swallowing, and breathing heavy. Could be tomorrow, could be next week. She is 94 (almost 95!), so this has been a long time coming. It’s still hard. Especially on my Aunts and Mom. They asked if I was okay, only to say I am about to mimic Roman Roy’s “I am fine, I pre-grieved” to “massive breakdown” to a tee. That said, I am not peacing out completely. I check the reports daily, and my Inbox and Telegram are open. I DO want to finish/post the 1993 before the end of the year. And that will be a welcomed distraction. So look for that by year’s end. ❤️

The overarching issues that we — as a board, as a culture, as an existential crisis — have fractioned our society further back into tribalism. Or “Teams”. Everything is my team is right, your team is wrong, when the truth is very, very much living in between. Until we recognize that, we’re just going to go round and round going no where. And this discussion is going to be exhausting.

The other problem is that you can’t read the website anymore without being logged in. There are no more visible comments. Well, as someone who always thought, Tony Stark was a giant asshole, and the villain of the story, I still Elon and Tony would be besties.

Because I got conned into being Admin, and now I am stuck in Hotel California. Which normally is fine, and fun. But this is the first weekend in six years I have genuinely felt unwelcomed. We should also comment that for some fans the press tour IS the event. It’s just fodder for more celebrity gossip. They don’t really care about content, but they want to see their favorite actors being cute. So a HUGE part of fandom engagement never happened. No Iman, Brie, and Tenayoh doing puppy (or kitten) videos. No Hot Wings. No Lie Detector Test. No TikTok Challenge. No Instagram Cosplay Contests. That stuff might sound stupid here, but it plays big in girl fandom spaces. I will never understand why they didn’t push this to May 4, 2024.
