Next year: Cap Marvel, Shazam,Avengers 4, The Lion King,Spidey, Frozen
not bad
I think Detective Pikachu and Joker will be big, Joker behind the scenes / clips made a great impression and trailer for Detective Pikachu had a big buzz.

They already have one trailer ready though.
Like Aquaman, there will probably be only one more "final" trailer before release.
Technically Aquaman had 3 trailers, the Comic Con trailer, the "extended video " and the final trailer.
All others DCEU movies had 3 trailers or more (SS and WW had 4 I think).

If this reaches $600m will be the biggest surprise of the year without any doubt, that would be BR worldwide -China > > > Venom worldwide -China.
It's already the biggest surprise of the year for me.

Godzilla’s trailer is coming out on Sunday. WB is not gonna release trailers to 2 of their movies on the same day. Besides this guy already deleted the tweet and said he is not sure. This bloke seems to be more wrong than rigjt regarding news.
I would not rule out that this can happen even if a Godzilla 2 trailer is released on the same day, but maybe the trailer will not be released online...

Current pre-sale numbers for Aquaman are not accurate. CGV cinemas has locked many seats of Aquaman's opening weekend in the past 12 hours for unclear reason. Those tickets were actually not sold out yet but Maoyan box office system already counted those money(71 out of 80 hottest theaters are from CGV on Dec.7). It will cause the increasing in the next few days to be slower than usual. Still need more time to observe it.
Is it fixed now? Because Aquaman is at 4.75m OD now.

Aquaman buzz is crazy. OD pegged as high as 250m by some observers.
Finally a good DCEU movie for fans to go in full force.
Is this is real? that would be $36m OD.

$200m OS possible?

Lol Jeff Sneider reputation...
Actually Suspiria (poor buzz movie according to him) has far better reviews than Bohemian Rhapsody (the great buzz movie)

Of the 49 SH movies that I tallied which had Friday releases (in the last 2 decades, since Xmen came out), SS had the 35th highest leg. Or the 15th worst.
For an August release and a month of hardly any competition, thats not a great multi. Its one of the worst for a July/August SH movie (except Fant4stic and TASM2)
Yeah, but Civil war legs are awesome!

Sony shot themselves in the foot by downgrading Venom to a PG 13 schlockfest.
I hope A Star Is Born crushes this movie to oblivion, and I don't even like Lady Gaga.
From what I've seen, the vast majority of Venom's stories are not "R Rated"/Mature, so why the movie need to be?
-
I do not see this movie making success outside of domestic/ UK market, in Brazil The hype for this film is much lower than any other live action remake from Disney (minus Pooh movie Lol) in China this movie will probably be a flop..

According to filme B, The Nun broke some records,..
-Biggest opening weekend of all time for a terror movie in Brazil, made R$25.6m(Local currency) to an audience of 1.6 million people, and surpassed even the premiere of IT, which led 1.2 million of people to theaters in 2017 (It was the record holder).
-Biggest opening weekend for a film released in September.
-The biggest opening for a Warner Bros. Pictures movie in Brazil in 2018, and the fourth biggest opening of all time for a Warner Bros film in Brazil.

Phenomenal opening in Brazil, looks like was a bigger opening weekend than "IT" even with the exchange rates being worse now.

Lower than AM2 first monday. Is it due to summer weekdays being over?
Very likely (expecting someone who knows better), but next weekend ml6 should have a much better drop than AM2 had on his second weekend, I think.

He said $50m +... not $55m +, still breakout and the biggest opening of the Conjuring universe movies, crazy!

Terrible casting choices, terrible director.

Perhaps views in the Venom trailers were huge only outside US, but small in North America?

Are they on drugs or something?! No way it's gonna make just 85$ mln total with x2 multiplier, that's absolutely incompetent tracking. What about Suicide Squad, which was basically in the same position?
1.3 mln likes against 49k dislikes. So much hate!
BO Long Range Forecast for Suicide Squad are a bit accurate.
OW= $98,000,000 Total= $275,000,000
https://pro.boxoffice.com/long-range-forecast-suicide-squad-founder-nine-lives/
But yeah, I find these numbers for Venom too low, less than $90m total?
