Okay, yeah. Just went over the corporate structure again. I wasn't taking into account that Universal owns 70% of Fandango and Warner Bros. owns 30%. For whatever reason I was seeing Fandango as a separate entity. You're right that studio execs go from studio to studio all the time.
I don't think it really even matters who owns Fandango (apart from "no one" that is). They're in the business of selling movie tickets, for movies of every studio. If one of their own subsidiaries is showing signs of becoming a playground for organized efforts to adversely impact the sale of tickets for big budget franchise films, they're gonna have an interest in closing that off before one of these campaigns manages to have some discernible level of success.

Any idea where they've got this from?? It's behind it on Fandango and definitely Wang and Porthos too. No idea where they have got this from.
This is just laughable.
Well it does say "we're hearing" without giving any hint or qualifier of who they're hearing it from. For all we know they're having an intern read some random reddit post aloud just so they could punch up the piece.

That's pretty much it unless you consider Rom and the Micronauts, they're owned by Toy companies I think.
Micronauts probably has the messiest collection of rights issues of any of Marvel's old titles. Hasbro has the rights to characters that were based purely on the toy line (like Baron Karza or Acroyer). Marvel has the rights to any original characters they created for the comic (like Bug or Captain Universe). And then the rights to some of the characters are essentially split (Marvel has the rights to Arcturus Rann but not his Space Glider persona that was based on one of the toys).

No. It's an origin movie of Captain Marvel which is connected to Endgame but standalone. So it won't be frontloaded
And that connection to Endgame is, so far, pretty much limited to the IW post-credit tease. CM's marketing hasn't touched on a connection at all while clearly pushing it as a prequel. The smattering of Endgame marketing hasn't touched on it either outside of leaked merchandise imagery.

Does the forum allow to ~ store somewhere some official TV-clip-links I'd like to add to a thread when it is open again?
Like in the P.M. area or...?
If yes, how to do it?
You should be able to PM the links to yourself.

Double standards on this site are ridiculous.
If it was a Marvel or Star Wars thread you'll have just threadbanned the troublemakers.Well the Captain Marvel thread was locked for 24 hours just a few days ago.

That's how it all got started, yes

Shazam will be fine though. The comments for the current trailers aren't locked.

Is this true?
Yes, it's already started. I've seen some YouTubers already explaining why the comments have been disabled on their videos. Apparently YT is using some sort of recognition software that locks them based on the video thumbnail.

Laurence Fishburne and Djimon Honsou played for both teams.
Honsou's MCU role is even sandwiched in between him playing two different DC characters. He was Papa Midnite in Constantine.

Just themselves. They aren't as big as Fandango (or at least aren't anymore), but they can be a useful compare/contrast.
I believe Fandango actually bought them a couple of years ago.

maybe they make a Disney + series of Alita
One question is can you make a 6-8 episode series as CGI intensive as Alita would be on a little more than half of the current movie's budget? That's more or less how they're budgeting the Star Wars shows they have planned for the service. And would Cameron go along with the changes necessary to scale it down for that?

Yeah a lot of those dislikes are from people who will go to see it if for no other reason than so they can rage with specificity on social media afterwards.

Lol, why not just say you got it wrong cause the studio changed the date? Why take a shot at the director, so dumb.
If he didn't get a date that means he did what everyone else was doing; he guessed. Maybe he had a little something extra to inform that guess but it was still a guess. He landed on Tuesday by overlooking the Oscar announcements.
I don't think it's really any more complex than that.

Seems like Oscars would have taken most of the attention.
Bingo.
It would have been foolish to drop a trailer for really any movie today, especially one that can probably use a little extra oomph in the buzz department, for those that aren't already jazzed about seeing it. They wouldn't want it trying to wade through the predictable back and forth on social media over the Oscar nominations. Pick a day you think will be quieter on that front and hope the news cycle doesn't serve up a curve ball.

his source is not from shh.
also there's another tweet from other person that simon kinberg was goinig to do reshoot.
anyway. as someone said you don't reshoot more than 50% of film with new characters, with "1 year 4months" delay after film is 100% done, promotion has just begun with official first trailer If the film tested well and fine. lol
not to mention 1 year later, they didn't even started the reshoot which was the reason of huge dealy.
Yeah it clearly has problems. No one needs friends on the lot to see that. It's in plain sight.

Yes I did and I don’t think they’d be publishing the article if the rumors had no truth to them whatsoever.
The "source" for the Screen Rant article is the same Scott Bechtel tweet that was posted in this thread a few days ago. The one that started "heard a whisper through the grapevine". How many degrees of separation from the production of the movie does that vine start, only he can say and he isn't. For all we know he read it on the SHH forum. But he has responded to all of the hoopla since then.

FUCKING MODS, BAN THESE HOES.
Wasn't there a rumor regarding the trailer recently that is at odds with a particular part of this?

I won't be surprised if it goes the Hulu route but ... the source for this is a guy who co-hosts some podcast I've never heard of before. I'll remain skeptical for now.

Yeah Solo simply ended up being the first Star Wars movie of the Disney era that landed on the calendar where originally intended. December only happened in the first place for TFA because that was the compromise Iger made with Abrams when he tried to get it pushed out a full year. The next two got shuffled as a result. Disney had wanted it in the summer from the get.

I think GDT was insisting on a budget of something like $120M or he wouldn't be interested in making it.
