Right now I am in the high-end of your range. Lack of competition. Lots ot time without a strong animated film. Great release schedule. SH movies are on a roll. Female audience interested because the focus is on Elastigirl. Hype and awareness already huge. Pixar goodwill has increased again after Dory and Coco. Impressive first reactions. It appeals also to adults. Nostalgia.
Seriously, I can't think of any weak points that could hurt Incredibles 2 potential breakout.
Same. It literally has everything aligned for it do incredibly well. Overperform even.

Too fresh for a number. It’s great. Didn’t walk out thinking there were any major flaws. Main thing that irks me is that the core narrative isn’t as focused as it was in the first film. But that’s a tall ask.
I'll take that! Can't wait! You're so lucky to have seen it early!

Saw Incredibles 2 tonight at one of the AMC advance screenings. It’s great. The story isn’t as strong as the first, but it makes up for it by advancing and challenging already established character dynamics. Action is good. humor is top-notch, especially in the second act, which had my theater rolling and will resonate with anyone who’s ever been in a family (which is almost everyone).
There are some scenes I feel should have an acompying epeleptic warning...
Wow that's great! How would you rate it out of 10?

Wow, the reviews are really great! I’m so excited!

QUESTION: How badly do you think the World Cup will affect the box office? Domestically I'm not too worried about, but football isn't as popular as it is internationally. Which is why I don't know if it will do well in Europe, some parts of Asia and Latin America.

Some guy on Reddit saw a pre-screening of the movie. Here's the link:
He gave the movie an 8/9 out of 10. Seems very promising!

This is gonna be a box office hit.

Yeah marketing sure looks like that is the whole plot of the film which is a letdown. It's going to be predictable if so. Would bet that scene of the family all gearing up is either from the very beginning or the last act.
That scene is from the original Incredibles. I highly doubt the plot of the film is going to be about a stay-at-home dad. Elastigirl is the main character this time around. Focusing on the dad in the trailers, would hide the real plot of the film, which heavily involves Elastigirl. I have huge trust in Bird to deliver once again.

Uhhhh, yes it will? You are aware that:
1) this is probably the most anticipated movie Pixar has ever released (or on par w/Toy Story 3);
2) Finding Dory came out 13 years after Finding Nemo and it made more than Nemo, and Toy Story 3 also came out 11 years after Toy Story 2 and still outgrossed both of the previous movies;
3) Incredibles 1 made 385M adjusted for inflation?
If anything, in the case of a long anticipated sequel to a beloved animated movie, the 14 year wait has only made Incredibles' chances of outgrossing the 1st one even higher. 14 years worth of inflation (+ IMAX and 3D) and anticipation. Of fucking course it's gonna do more. Not even a question.
This. I2 will DEFINITELY outgross the first one.

Lol people are overrhyping Incredibles here. The first movie wasn’t good and outside of random Twitter fans no one really asked for a sequel. The general audience doesn’t really care - hence why the first movie is one of Pixar’s lowest grossing ones. I see this doing 200-300 million domestically TOPS.
If anything, I see people underestimating Incredibles.
To answer the OP, I'm in. See this doing around 450-500 million domestically.
EDIT: Actually I think 500 million is a bit too high. Maybe around 400-450 million.

Looked through cinemas around my local area, and a large number of the showings for I2 aren't that full. Since I'm from Australia, I think the ticket sales will increase on the actual day the movie comes out (which is tomorrow).
