So it's passed 300 mill worldwide. What do we think will be the total run?

I saw it a second time and liked it even more. The characters are thin, but the visuals+spectacle really carry it.

The RT score has kind of been all over the place. It started off lukewarm, then it got a bunch of positive reviews after, than when it came out officially a bunch of negatives came in.

Even though the overall response has been positive, does anyone feel like some critics had their knives sharpened for this movie? If you read some of the negative reviews, some of these people actually say they went into the film with negative expectations. That's a horrible attitude to have, especially for a "professional" film critic. I hope I don't sound like a crazy conspiracy theorist....

That's not the CGI, that's the art design you didn't like. The actual vfx and CGI work is amazing and top notch. I would be surprised if this wasn't up for any VFX noms.

This is just trolling. Even if you didn't like the film, RPO has fantastic VFX work. I was very impressed.

So it looks like this will make 500 mill worldwide on the low end. So much for being a flop.

The negative reviews are all coming in hot. I'm still sticking by my 76% RT prediction.

A bunch of negatives were just added, down to 80. Would be nice if this stayed above 80.

Agreed. I feel kind of vindicated in the fact that War of the Worlds has a higher metacritic score than Jurassic Park.

LIES! DECEPTIONS!

AA Dowd from AV club (one of the more harsh critics out there) gave this a positive review. Color me surprised, especially with how much he was hating on the film beforehand.

He's not on any social media.

20 reviews left and it's certified fresh. Maybe with good word of mouth RPO can make a decent profit. What's the predicted opening weekend for this?
