AMC apparently told studios about a*list one week before it launched not giving studios time to react to the reduction in price lol
I read an article saying if studios see a reduction in revenue they will attempt to keep movies from AMC and have them change the subscription service model they have.
AMC is only going to be paying studios 60% of 8.99 per ticket sold on the subscription.
"Im not sure if THUG will get the same hype from the black community." Sounds like you're talking about a rapper or something else lol it was funny reading that sentence
People legit said it was locked. Im not going to go back to prove a point though. For infinity war specifically there were a few 800M predictions that were not from movie man.
This forum is interesting. After Incredibles 2 first weekend people were claiming it would make well over 700M and same with infinity war without seeing second weekend drops. For infinity war people were going as high as 800M LMFAO 🤣😂
Get over it folks Black Panther is going to be #1 dom for the year no matter your wishful thinking. 700M dom is still a rarity.
All the 100M+ openers this year trended on twitter on their preview night; deadpool 2, black panther, incredibles 2, and infinity war.(which showed good WOM for each) Jurassic world hasn't trended on twitter at all. It will be the first 100M+ to not trend on preview night.
Im not including solo because it didnt make 100M in its 3 day weekend.
Im surprised they're not having us pay the difference for premium formats. Its kind of strange. It'll probably change in the future when moviepass goes out of business.
This makes Sinemia completely useless
Its a good deal if you live close to AMC. Being able to see premium formats is a definite added bonus. I usually see the big blockbusters in DOLBY and that is the best theater experience in my opinion. So, for me its definitely worth it. The best part about it is that we know other theaters will have to compete and have their own plans as well. Moviepass isnt a sustainable model and its good theater chains are taking action(which seems to be more sustainable)
3 movies a week is plenty. Im honestly surprised the plan isnt much worse.
Sinemia is worse than this though. You get roughly 2-3 tickets per month, and if you use it they try to raise the price on you after 6 months if you're on the monthly plan. Also, if you have the plan where you can see a premium movie in IMAX/Dolby once a month... its per every 30 days. So for instance if you wanted to see Jurassic world 2 in dolby and see Ant man in July in IMAX you couldn't because it hasn't been 30 days even though its two different months. its dumb.
AMC is allegedly coming out with their own version soon. Apparently 19.95 a month for 3 movies per week, you can see the same movie, and some option for premium formats are available. Im not sure how accurate this is so take it with a grain of salt.
wow, disney is brazen with that fudge. AWIT was almost in the top 10 this weekend LMAO anybody in their right mind knows that did not happen organically.
