  1. ...which is either fake or the writer has a bad memory, because it doesn't match the movie.
  2. What if I have a great idea to launch a new TERMINATOR trilogy in 5-6 years?
  3. Have we considered that "From the producer of" credits mean absolutely nothing to audiences? ALITA looked weird. DARK FATE followed a string of TERMINATOR sequels that audiences rejected-to-flat-out-hated. This isn't shocking, nor is it an indictment of Cameron. Last I checked, AVATAR 2 wasn't following AVATAR: GENISYS.
  4. The Force Awakens is a very apt comparison. It isn't as good as TFA - whatever your problems with that movie, it has its own beating heart and is genuinely fun/thrilling - but taken on its own terms, Dark Fate is a very solid action movie. I'd be happy to see a sequel. The reshoots made it a little better.
  5. I would argue Disney's live action films are sold as movies for kids but really only have appeal for adults. They're nostalgia-bait and very rarely succeed under their own merits.
  6. The first poster for this movie is just the word "Redrum." There hasn't been a moment where they weren't leaning hard into THE SHINING.
  7. The embargo lifts on the 22nd. I haven't seen the final cut but I've heard whispers from early press screenings that the reaction is pretty positive.
  8. I think it's less superhero movies and more IPs: people are reluctant to see movies they aren't already familiar or comfortable with. It just so happens comic books are something a massive amount of people are familiar with, either through reading them or enjoying adaptations growing up.
  9. Is this real? Have I suffered a head injury and my brain is spasming on the brink of death?
  10. Okay I promise this is the last thing I will post in this thread with a spoiler tag! (For the people passing over them, we're not talking about major plot revelations or third act details)
  11. That tweet was based on a comment Toby Emmerich made here: That sort of comment is usually preamble to a delay, and I can't see them rushing a sequel to a box office disappointment out only ten months later.
  12. There's a test screening for this next week and, kinda shockingly, it looks to be PG-13. Or they're at least testing a PG-13 cut.
  13. I need to find this draft. I found the film satisfying enough, but it keeps nagging at me that it could have been considerably better.
  14. My biggest problem with LAST BLOOD is everything that's good in it feels like it could have been great with a little more attention. Moments that should be devastatingly emotional are serviceable instead. It leads to the whole thing feeling a bit half-baked.
  15. That's a weird way to sell it because the movie isn't like that. I'm guessing they showed a lot of (second act spoiler here) then?
  16. Not a great trailer but better than the first. I wish they were selling Arnold more because he's really good in this.
  17. Debatable, but I'll say my "It's okay" is based on more opinions than just my own. If the film was rated out of 10, I heard a lot of 5s, 6s, and 7s.
