I hope this has more nonsensical B-movie-esque writing than the first film.

99,78% of the World confirmed ugly if the cast of TDKR is not considered as attractive.
i meant more for lead but yeah TDKR had a great supporting cast. Tom Hardy was kept hidden behind a mask the whole time tho

After some decades we finally get a Batman movie with a good looking cast.

holy shit that looks incredible

that was for Spongebob. $10-11mn with $900k Canada.
but since West Cost and New York is closed, that is around $6.5-7mn.
Unhinged was $600k in Canada, giving about $6.5mn NA, minus closed markets $4.25-4.5mn.
oh i mixed them up, that sounds about right for Unhinged then. is canadian box office usually 9-10% of US? or are anomalies common for some films. Did avengers endgame make 70M-80M in Canada?

what about those 10M-15M projections (based on canadian bo iirc)

it's crazy how Da 5 Bloods came and went by so quick and the only thing people remember from it is Delroy Lindo
I wouldn't rule out Tenet as an Interstellar tech only player just yet, it might still pull off an inception if it's a hit with audiences.
so for bp i think
1. Mank
2. Nomadland
3. Trial of the Chicago 7
4. News of the world.
5. Soul
6. Ma Rainey's Black Bottom
7. Respect
8 .Dune
9. Tenet
10. Da 5 Bloods
French Dispatch is most likely a 2021 title at this point since Searchlight are going with Nomadland instead this fall. maybe if they release it in Feb it could make it in.

Idk, reviews a reminding me more of Dunkirk.
Dunkirk wasn't at all "confusing" or had an "incomprehensible" plot. like some reviews are saying. I think the general audiences are going to like Tenet more than Dunkirk

Nolan delivered again 🙏
upping my prediction to 45M OW 170M DOM total.

Just a complete fucking disaster
seems like the people who got disappointed were hoping for 10/10 and 9/10 type reviews but instead got a bunch of 7/10s and 8/10s

Seems like this is a movie that's more focused on spectacle than being a film that tries to be "meaningful", which I'm honestly fine with.
yeah seems like it has a ridiculous plot but strong spectacle. it reminds me of Aquaman which mean i'll probably like it.

Huh! So this really is Interstellar 2.0, haha
yeah. I could see it finishing at certified fresh on RT and 60+ on MC.

wait is it confusing because he doesn't do enough exposition to explain it? what did I fear come to pass?

I predict Tenet will get 81 on MC and 93% on RT. Nolan's highest rated movie on Metacritic is Dunkirk with 94 and on RT The Dark Knight with 94% approval rating. although my favorite Nolan movies (Prestige/Interstellar) are more rated in the 70s/60s.
I have been more interested in World War movies recently so I feel like I should give Dunkirk a rewatch. it's the only 2010s Nolan movie that didn't impress me much on first watch.

So is South Korea a dead market for Tenet now? Just noticed that its presales decreased from over 50k to 43k.
Edit: And seems like it's still decreasing. I have a hard time seeing this release next week now.
And it’s down to 40k. This market was gonna be huge for Tenet. Hope they delay to a better time so it can earn closer to its true potential, rather than releasing it now and have it flop when people are afraid of the recent surge of the pandemic

I’m thinking 100m domestically 90MChina 35M South Korea 35M UK 20M France

this whole "2020 won't have anymore major releases" rhetoric has already became irrelevant when Tenet, Mulan and New Mutants stopped getting delayed.

not surprised as this has been getting mostly panned since it came out and it looked as generic as they come but i'll still give it a watch cus the first one is my favorite zombie movie.

they probably shot this out of order so 25% of footage is plenty to choose stuff from
