  1. Good game but it was clear how the devs didn't have enough material for even one full game (all the android bits were so fucking slow and boring).
  2. That is pretty much what it was though??? And probably the funniest slasher flick in decades. It just had a bit more to it because doing another film exactly like the first one just seems like a waste of time (especially when its the same director).
  3. Looks like a contender for the worst movie of 2023. What an insane way to botch such a simple and wonderful idea. Would've loved to have lived in the universe where we got the Spike Jonze version of this (or had someone like Don Hetzfeldt make an animated version).
  4. Well, we got a new reaction image from the marketing material for the movie. I'd say the movie is already a success.
  5. Would really like Timmy to do a full blown action vehicle in a couple years. The last act solidified that Timmy has the same presence in action roles as former twinks like Cruise and Bale. He just needs to bulk up.
  6. I feel like Blade's absolutely fucked when this movie comes out. The comparisons are going to be inevitable and it's not going to be in Blade's favor.
  7. Do wonder what the framing device for this film is going to be. Based on the trailer, it's definitely leaning into this idea of Furiosa's origin being this mythical tale and that makes me really excited. Feel like we haven't had a Hollywood movie that felt like a geniune mythical epic in a very long time.
  8. Whoever decided to use David Bowie for this probably made the coolest trailer choice I've seen in a long time.
  9. It's pretty funny Miller seems to have brightened the film even further than it looked in the first trailer. Espescially in comparison to that Star Wars trailer where everything looks dark and murky.
  10. I'm not even a big Avatar fan, but arguing that people don't care about Avatar feels quite literally like arguing that the earth is flat. You're pretty much arguing against a known fact with all the evidence in the world using nothing but conjecture.
  11. Because disregarding the fact that those movies suck ass and maybe 1% of the people who watched those movies on Netflix would pay money to watch them, quite literally the amount of people who have seen those movies are much less than the number of people who have seen Avatar.
  12. This has probably been mentioned before but it's pretty funny that Dune is going to be the highest-grossing movie since Barbenheimer, beating another Timothee Chalamet movie for the spot.
  13. This reminds me. Would be really funny if WB has their best couple years in like over a decade for the next few years and they still end up getting sold for parts (very likely scenario).
  14. 1. 600 mil is definitely happening and 2. $600 mil is not the breakeven point. Let's not be spreading misinformation here please
  15. Was watching a bit of Zardoz today and Charlotte Rampling has such a striking resemblance to Rebecca Ferguson. Could've totally played Jessica back then.
  16. I'm not talking about this specific movie obviously. But put Robbie and Murphy in something like a rom-com within the next year or so, I say it has a grear shot at becoming a decent sized hit.
  17. I do think a movie like this starring Robbie and Murphy as the leads could see a decent bump because of Barbenheimer tbh
  18. I saw that a couple years ago. It's pretty good but I do prefer the story (it might have something to do with the fact that I kinda had the same thing happen to me in between watching the movie and reading the story lol).
  19. I'm reading Tolstoy because all my friends were reading Dostoevsky last year. Wanted to be different lol. But I did read White Nights last year and it probably contains the most accurate portrayal of unrequited love ever
  20. Needed a break from reading War and Peace so I'm reading Norwegian Wood rn. This is my first Murakami and I can't even get through 10 pages of this. Feels like reading a YA romance novel so far. Is this what the rest of his work feels like? Just agonizing stuff.
  21. An absolute shame that this is what we're getting for a Purple Crayon movie.
  22. There's no reason why this wouldn't be either. Monster flicks are generally more walk-up heavy.
