The Batman: $381K 6. JWD: $364K 7. TGM: $348K 8. Minions, The Rise of Gru: $331K 9. Black Adam: $330K 10. Mirciulică (Romanian Comedy): $320K Important notes: Avatar 1 is, by far, the highest grossing movie of all time in Romania. Its 2022 re-release earned $131K on its OW (no. 1 that weekend, $131K is an above average opening weekend for a movie in Romania this year) and $320K overall.

I would love to see this scenario come true, but I think you've way overestimated OS-C. Going with $600M US, $400M China, $1B OS-C for a nice, round $2B for now.

So.. presales have started in Romania too. Tried to get my tickets for a 4DX HFR show here in Cluj-Napoca on Thursday, but.. it's all sold out. Barely got a good seat for a standard 3D show. OW ticket prices here: 4DX (without glasses): $10.4 3D (without glasses): $7.6 2D: $7.3 Prices might seem low, but I'm pretty sure I did not spend more than $7 - $7.5 for A:EG in 3D (Thursday previews).

I actually do believe that this movie might make a lot of money on its OW. $200M seems about right. Younger audiences are pretty aware of this movie too. One just has to take a look at TikTok, there are many Avatar 2-related videos with 500K - 2M likes.

The trailer is beautiful. I will try to watch this on opening night. Does anyone keep track of the views? They seem pretty low for now.

Will this ever get certified fresh? Sitting at 76% with 300 reviews, it will probably sink to less than 75%, but more than 70%, and won't get the certificate in time.

Passing A:IW on Friday and BP on Monday, probably. Exceptional run, much deserving, probably would've given A:EG a run for its money during normal times. Seeing what a goliath the MCU has become, I wouldn't be surprised if a movie like DS:MOM, Love & Thunder or BP2 overperforms and makes $600M+ DOM. -
