Maybe I have a more pessimistic vision, but US could end up with $850M, while China doesn't surpass $630M. Thus, EG would lose the race. It's going to be a real nailbiter

Not so sure about that now. EG has shown outrageous legs

Also wasn't LOTR/Hobbit very big here?
Also well-liked franchises, but not quite as big as FF and SW

Above Civil War's $61.2M FIRST Sat. Huge achievement imo.

Very similar to IW's 2nd weekend increase from Fri to Sat. Let's see if it can beat CW's first Sat.

Friday went $40.6M DOM, $35.2M CH, $53M OS-CH = $128.8.
China is slowing down, making $20M today and probably around $9M tomorrow. $2.2B by Sunday is not a done deal imo, but it could happen.

Locked. IW made $96M.

So.. y'all expect it to completely crash and burn after Sunday, for whatever reason?

If @Gavin Feng is right and EG gets to $580M on Sunday, that would mean that another Wednesday gross ($75M) for the rest of the run would get the movie to $655M. I'm really in for $650M

WRONG! Fast & Furious is the BIGGEST franchises here!
You're right. FF is our biggest franchise, I've completely forgotten about it. Haven't been tracking numbers when F8 came out

Interesting that Star Wars holds the Top 2 spots! Something similar to other European countries, guess superhero movie still have growth to do!
Both SW and the MCU are the biggest franchises in Romania. Imo, EG could've taken the second spot if it didn't open on Orthodox Easter Sunday (but legs will be great). SW9 will probably fall a bit short, because TLJ wasn't very liked in Romania

Romania box office update (28 April 2019):
"Avengers: Endgame" scores the third highest grossing OW of all time in Romania (behind TFAs $1.35M and TLJs $1M), grossing $902K / 3.85M RON. "Avengers: Infinity War" made $822K on its OW. EG should easily surpass IWs final haul of $2.55M because of good WOM.
"After" gets the second spot in the top 10, having scored $336K to date.
"The Curse of La Llorona" sits at no. 3 with a cume of $150K to date.
Other holdovers: Wonder Park $147K, Shazam! $694K, Dumbo $629K, Captain Marvel $1.668M.
Next weekend sees the release date of "Five Feet Apart" and "Arctic".

Maybe. If tomorrow is over 400m and holds strong thru the holiday it should be close to $600m on Sunday then $625m the following Friday when DP opens and leg it out
Averaging 11m per hour. RR didnt drop much. 225-235m.
Insane 80%+ bump
Wed PS at 115m and running at 2.5m ph.
Projecting 140m+ still.
Todays PSm will be 3. Tomorrow likely to be under 3
How, though? Best case scenario imo would be something like 235 + 400 + 270 + 200 + 100 for this week. Thus, EG would get to $530M by Sunday

I'm new here and don't quite understand Mexico's lc. Will EG beat IW in USD?

If you take out China, was the international rollout for EG the same as for IW? If so, the increase overseas minus China is substantial and lends even more credence to the notion that this will be bonkers enough overseas to pass Avatar.
Pretty much the same. IW had China and Russia opening 1 week later, EG has just Russia this time.

I've read that IW made around $34.6M in Russia - CIS. Do you think EG could get to $50M?

"Avengers: Endgame" has made it PAST THE $3M-mark after just three weekends in theatres. It's now way past IW's final haul ($2.55M) and past "Furious 7" (approx. $2.75M), sitting at a gargantuan $3.015M. "Fate of the Furious" (approx. $3.2M) and "The Force Awakens" (approx. $3.3M) are also sure to be surpassed by next week. The only question that remains is if EG can surpass "Aquaman" ($3.8M) in order to become the second highest grossing movie of all time in Romania (behind "Avatar").
Right now I really don't think it's possible for "Hobbs & Shaw" to become the biggest movie of the year.
