  1. I don’t even know where to start with predictions. Who knows if there will be a theatrical release if the second wave of COVID-19 happens. Even if it doesn’t what number of theaters will we be operating with and how much will people still be scared from going to theatres.
  2. I'm expecting 40-50 million opening this time around max. But let's say if they put "Mulan" or even "A Quiet Place Part II", I think both films could claim victory over "Halloween". Any news on when will the trailer drop? Btw, shooting of "Halloween Ends" is pushed for Summer 2020.
  3. Well, I guess this will keep the original release date, but I am scared what they may add for October 16th, now that so many films got delayed.
  4. Ok, this is going to be scary prediction. MARCH 20-22: 1. "I Still Believe" - 4.3 / 15.9 2. "Onward" - 4.0 / 66.7 3. "Bloodshot" - 3.1 / 15.5 4. "The Invisible Man" - 2.5 / 68.4 5. "The Hunt" - 1.8 / 8.7 6. "Sonic the Hedgehog" - 0.9 / 147.5 7. "Call Of The Wild" - 0.8 / 63.4 8. "The Way Back" - 0.7 / 14.7 9. "Emma" - 0.5 / 10.9 10. "Bad Boys 3" - 0.4 / 205.0 11. 5. I am scared to predict how will next 4 weekends look like. Just look at them pushing back “Trolls” and “Black Widow”.
  6. NEW PREDICTIONS FOR NEXT 4 WEEKS: MARCH 13-15: 1. "Onward" - 22.3/ 72.2 2. "I Still Believe" - 13.4 3. "The Invisible Man" - 9.0 / 67.4 4. "Bloodshot" - 8.6 5. "The Hunt" - 7.2 6. "Bad Boys 3" - 0.5 / 209.1 11. "Never Rarely Sometimes Always" - 0.3 12. "First Cow" - 0.2 I really have no idea if they are going to expand these platform films, and how will the audience embrace them. But it will be the most tragic box office in a long time. April 3-5 will possibly fall short of 20 million $ in top 12, and that didn't happen in last 25+ years.

  9. Well, the film can only benefit from that. Q4 release will guarantee China release and will by default make more money.

  17. Isn't 240 million $ a bit too high? I mean I know it will go past 250-260 million, but that was fast.
  18. I don’t know why isn’t Box Office Mojo updating “Parasite’s” numbers. On their page it’s showing around 198 million $. I’m sure we’re closer to 210-215 million $ by now.
  19. I think this one will open close or with a bit more than 100 million $ in US and if it shows legs and good word of mouth, 1 billion is achievable. "Spectre" was a bad film overall.
  20. So by tomorrow morning, the total should be around 214 million $, which makes it second highest grossing Foreign Language Oscar film (that's not animated), right behind "Life Is Beautiful", which grossed 230.1 million $. So, I guess it will surpass that one too, within next 10-ish days. And then the only two other foreign films that were nominated/won Oscar are: "Spirited Away" (347.8 million $) and "Howl's Moving Castle" (236.2 million $). The second one also shouldn't be hard to surpass. Based on Summer Tentpole's estimates, this is how I think the theatrical run worldwide will end: Parasite Worldwide: $264.3 million Asia & Oceania : $138.9mn South Korea: $74.5 million (unless it picks up again) Japan: $40 million Taiwan: $5.5 million Vietnam: $3million Australia: $3.5 million Hong Kong: $2.2 million Russia: $2 million Indonesia: $1.7 million India: $0.8 million South East Asia: $5.5 million Europe : $57.5 million France: $14.5 million UK: $14 million Germany: $5.4 million Spain: $6.8 million Italy: $8 million Netherlands: $2.8 million Others: $6 million Latin America : $10.7 million Mexico: $6.0 million Brazil: $2.4mn Argentina: $1.3mn Others: $1.0mn North America : $55 million Others: $2.2 million
