  3. if wes anderson gets it i'll actually get 3 for 3 on my shorts predictions this year. these other two i just got on the titles.
  4. loved the arnold devito presentation my favourite bit so far. The Creator definitely had better effects but i guess folks liked godzilla as a movie more so whatever.
  5. anyway first win for the UK in the international film category. it's coming home?!?!

  7. it's funny they've really structed the awards in a way where the Oppenheimer sweep isn't gonna come until the back half of the show.
  8. As a Uk watcher the good thing about the ceremony being on ITV this year is how much more easily accessible it is for me, the bad thing is having to rush to mute the stream every time Jonathan Ross shows up in between the awards.
  9. I thought Barbie would get this. Poor Things had amazing sets but i don't really remember the fits.

  14. the first two had characters survive. Ali Larter made it to the second one. i dunno, i'm pro killing every character. it's the fun of these movies. it's the point!
  15. i wonder if it's a post-COVID thing that box office will start to become important again in crowning best picture winners, as the whole industry is kinda fighting for relevance rn. Even Everything Everywhere was the first indie breakout success post-COVID, which definitely went a big way to securing its win.
