  1. From all reports so far Ezra did not fight back, it was a verbal altercation and AB made it physical. So AB could be the one in trouble here even if Ezra instigated it.

Also it's important to understand that both could be facing big consequences because Japan laws of public behavior are much more stricter then laws in the US.

d it could hit $1B average sometimes in the future after EG. But then, you know COVID happened and now Russia, China, LGBT + content overload with Disney+ series + diminishing returns etc… You could also argue that MCU is in serious decline now.

Where exactly is this overload of LGBT content on Disney cause it sure as hell isn't in the movies?

We got Paramount Plus in the U.K. this week. I had a quick look at it earlier. This is the future of movie distribution? Lmao

Yup movies are now only lasting 45 days in theaters. Pandemic really changed everything.

And for many they are patient enough to wait 45 days to watch it on a streaming service at no additional cost. Streaming service is about 5 times cheaper then a movie ticket + food.

Are we really counting Avengers: Endgame, Rise of Skywalker, and Beauty and the Beast as representation? The bar is in hell. If the “representation” amounts to split second scenes should it even count?

No we shouldn't I was just pointing out the LGBT representation Disney has been proud of in their movies in recent years. To everyone else it was insulting.

Them writing articles about the TROS kiss was both insulting and infuriating.

They make them gay with token gestures or scenes. They don't make them gay AS characters. It's pandering. They see it as a demographic to be tapped and that's what needs to change. The answer isn't as black and white as do/don't, but the cynical methods they're currently using are not helping at all.

Let's take a look at before this how great the Disney LGBT representation was in their big films.

Beauty and the Beast - ( Lefou)Comic relief, 5 second implication at the end of the movie

Avengers Endgame - One of the Russo brothers, cameo 5 second scene.

Jungle Cruise - Comic relief, stereotypical gay character, no romance.

Rise of Skywalker - 5 second kiss of two background characters nobody cared about meanwhile Oscar Isaac was begging Disney to do Finn and Poe.

Eternals - Didn't do much with the character or his partner. Didn't have much of a storyline

Lightyear - Probably the most respected of them all so far, however could have been done much better. Imagine being outraged at a couple and family acting like a couple and family.

Strange World has a confirmed gay teenage boy so that is gonna be interesting.

Honestly they haven't part of the time. I might have missed them or forgot, but I don't think I saw any articles prior to the release of Onward or Jungle Cruise or Cruella hyping up their gay characters. I never saw Disney make a grand press release about them or promote them in their movie. I learned about Onward after the first press screenings came out, Jungle Cruise over insider tea that was not picked up by the major trade, and Cruella was a legit surprise for me. Obviously they do this sometimes, but I feel like a lot of people, mainly alt-right grifters, make things a bigger deal than they actually are.

I think if I recall they definitely promoted before the movie Lefou as LGBT, the first Disney LGBT character in the live action Beauty and the Beast. Now it was blink and you miss it like all of Disney's LGBT representation.

Even this is a blink and you miss it moment in Lightyear. God forbid the true sensitive snowflakes can't for 4 seconds watch two women kiss when you know damn well all those outraged republicans definitely have watched graphic lesbian porn in their youth probably.

In my world, here in the Dallas Metroplex, we know many, many families who aren’t taking their kids to see this movie, and are very disappointed they won’t be going. Nobody is telling other people to boycott Disney or anything like that, they/we just aren’t ready to have the talk with our small children after a same sex kiss in an animated movie.

You do realize it's very simple to to talk to small children about LGBT people right?

"Mommy/Daddy why are those two men/women kissing"

"Well insert child's name, you know how me and your mommy/daddy like to kiss and it grosses you out. We just show how much we love each other that way. They do the same thing because they love one another and they deserve the same respect as me and your mommy/daddy do."

They don't want to talk about it because they want their child to be as ignorant as they are.

Seriously though there’s now a very real chance Lightyear does sub 200m, the second that happens Pixar and WDAS are staying straight to the plus.

Why would a literal second of a gay kiss effect the box office more than the plot sucking?

That would be a complete stupid reaction for Disney.
