  1. What makes you think there's no Pirates 6...Disney is developing no6 and a no7 atm... Its early days but two scripts are being written...one with Margot Robbie being asked to star and the second with no one attached...with the strong campaign for Depp to return "will he" maybe not but for all his substance abuse well Hollywood only cares about money and RDJ had just as bad an abuse issue and was forgiven...
  2. Thats not actually an unfair statement as the first book was written as a kind of homage to LOTR so is sort of a generic fantasy ...its only in the following books the story expands in a different direction, very like the first Malazan book "Gardens Of The Moon" "Eye Of The World" is a weak start to a much greater story...
  3. Unfortunately it didn't do much to endear it to the books fans either...as one of those fans at times it felt like a twisted version of the books put together by someone who barely read them, sure it had most of the characters and "some" of the events from EOTW but they all felt off kilter to me and in many cases it wasn't the things omitted from the book but things added that were never in the first(or any) book that threw me off.... This is hard to get my head around really because you have to make a series like this to cater for the core fans and IMO they kinda didn't but non fans might enjoy it as a generic fantasy series....saying that even though ive huge issues with it i know i`ll keep watching because ive hope it will improve
  4. If i could upvote this more i would...Too many pointless changes kinda sums up most of the show
  5. They did a lot of unnecessary changes that make no sense and very few of them progressed the plot in any way...also it was odd to me that the show runner said a lot of them had to be done to contract events that occur in EOTW because it was only 8 episodes yet one entire episode(1 eighth of the series) is nearly 100% made up of events that never happen in series never mind the first book...
  6. I still think Ben Affleck was a terrific Batman but Patterson was very good in The Batman and i loved Zoe Kravitz take on Catwoman ....it was a fresh adaptation with a few flaws overall though an excellent film..
  7. Uwe Bol ....(slinks away laughing manically )
  8. Just watched the anime movie Blame! wow what a damn good film ...it caught my attention from the start and just got better from there, really stoked to know a sequel is already on the way..
  9. Just watched the first episode ...god they got it wrong from the beginning didn't they.. I`am not totally sure but wasn't Riggs a normal cop until his pregnant wife was killed?? and then he becomes crazy and suicidal in this he`s shown as wacked out even before she dies.. as for the rest of the episode ..sorry but it was just so bloody generic..
  10. I was looking forward to this ...Damn i was hoping it would be good ..
  11. there`s got to be a crossover for sure ... with Thanos in the title somewhere

  13. The Manitou 80s horror film still quite effective after 30yrs
  14. been thinking about watching it ...Shah Rukh Khan was great in My Name Is Khan
  15. im not agueing that it doesnt look dated but the vfxs were dated when the film was made anyway.it was a delibrate style choice . it comes down to a personal choice about that style of film really.. me im not a fan but i cant call the film dated when it was done on purpose
  16. "Star Wars'77 was a freak ONLY in USA."that is absolutely not true...i saw it in Australia,New Zealand,Singapore,Gibraltar and Malta all of them months ans some nearly a year after in had been released in the US and the film was still packing them in Star Wars was huge everywhere there was a cinema, some of them may only have been paying a few cents to see it but 10s of millions of people were seeing italso this is supposed to be "biggest blockbuster all thing considered" so the dollars earned by films like Titanic and Avatar Star Wars and Gone With The Wind all have to be adjusted and trying to find people who agree on how to do it is nearly impossible ...
  17. The Hobbit 3-D 24fpsvery early performance not full but a decent crowd for the timetrailersstar trekman of steel(uk trailers sucks btw)really liked the film,it flew by for me and didnt have any prob with the lenght the 3-D was very good(i use my own better quality glasses though)im getting a bit annoyed with the proffessional reveiws though they seem to focused on techical details of the film and dont seem to have any interest in just reveiwing the content :(i will try 48fps next time i see it
  18. Skyfall ..attendance very good for an early showing ,film not quite what i was expecting but excellently donetrailersbreaking dawn part2The hobbitlife of PiTaken 2 ..considering how many weeks its been out the attendance was very very good.i liked it more than i thought i wouldtrailers were almost the same as SkyfallIt was strange seeing Taken2 right after Skyfall because both films used exactly the same locations ..so you saw Bond rideing across the very same rooftops that Bryan Mills and his daughter are running across all i could think of when watching wouldnt it be cool as heck if their paths had crossed
  19. Megan Fox should be disqualified ...as she cant act
  20. I saw all those films in the cinema,i remember that year well because it was the year i left the armed forces
  21. A great film with some very very cool momentsfrom rivers "my turn"... to Washs "Im a leaf on the wind watch how i soar" and Mals "they wont see this coming"Ii think i love it more every time i rewatch it.... A+
  22. I really dont like any of their performances atm, they maybe good singers but the singing style of all three leaves me cold i wouldnt want to watch buy or listern to anything they do..I also have major problems with the judges, they keep pushing the myth that these people are the best Idol contestants ever and that some of their performances are the greatest theres been on Idol, a statment that is wrong biased and plain untrue....
  23. the hunger games... a good film not worth its 84% though
  24. the david o`russell film would have been balls,he was c****** all over the game with his version changing the whole nature of the project ...im not surprised at all he was asked/forced to leave.. though i do question why the heck he was given the job in the first place
