  1. That might explain the opening but not the final figure of 1.13 billion. Also, Endgame opened to $357 million DOM.
  2. Gonna watch Oppenheimer in IMAX again next weekend
  3. On the topic of Avatar, this is more of a personal thing, I loved, loved Avatar 1, I saw it around 5 times in theatres, but Avatar 2 didn't grab me at all and I was very disappointed with it, it didn't feel epic or grandiose to me at all, I was impressed by the visual effects however, they were leaps and bounds over everything coming out now and even Avatar 1, I watched Avatar 1 re release in IMAX just a couple months before Avatar 2 and Avatar 2 just blew it out of the water (pun intended) in terms of CGI and visual effects. I am hoping Avatar 3 feels more epic, something like the final battle of Avatar 1 or the destruction of the home tree scene. I have a feeling if Avatar 3 has larger scale than 2 it is probably going to increase domestically.
  4. Just came out of my showing in the UK, it was a lot of movie, so still processing it, but my initial reaction are that it's up there with Fallout as the best in the series, I really really loved the last act of the movie specially the last set piece, really looking forward to part 2. 2/3 Part 1 movies have been really amazing this year.
  5. My 18:30 showing for Indy is 85% full, this is a Odeon LUXE cinema, other shows are at 17: 45 (seems around 75% full), 19:30 (90% full), 20:00 (50% full isense), 3 remaining late night shows are almost completely empty (~10%) I have never seen an Indy movie, so this might be a bit confusing haha but whatever, I need to kill a few hours (thanks Limitless)
  6. I am hearing thunder and can see dark clouds, so it might be a better box office weekend this one.
  7. My viewing is in about 1 hour (UK), Cinema seems to be half full for my viewing. There's 4 more showtimes after this one, one of them is about 70% full, one is 50%, the other two are around 20% full as of now.
  8. Ah Top Gun missed 1 million, still, 75 days above 1 million is insane specially given the competition.
  9. Will Bullet Train end up more like Edge of Tomorrow or Oblivion ? EoT after 5 days 35.4 million BT after 5 days 36.57 million Oblivion after 5 days 42.9 million 2nd weekend will make things more clear
  10. Liked it better than the first one, but I wasn't much of a fan of the first one, people seemed to enjoy it in my screening.
  11. All shows after 5.30 pm are sold out for tonight at my local cinema, from what I could tell people seem to like the movie as well
  12. Just saw it, it was dumb and ridiculous but more importantly so fun (and funny as well at times), it might be my favourite one after Fast Five.
