    I wouldn't expect Ghostbusters to be particularly strong at MTC2, but we'll see. Overperformers at MTC2 are usually F9/Venom stuff that appeals to diverse audiences, as well as family animated films especially Disney (I remember Frozen 2 was monstrous). Ghostbusters has an older audience and (my guess is) a whiter one. But I'll take the first day tonight.

    Still I would rather not see them in the trailer. Even if the secret is out, at least don't show the actual scene. Let us be surprised by the moment. I probably will not watch the second trailer anyway, though. I already know way too much about this movie.

    I am surprised they're doing it for this movie. Usually these things are to spread WOM but the day before seems too late and I doubt the WOM will be anything great anyway.

    Difference between Venom and Morbius is that Venom blew up from the first trailer. There was real, organic anticipation for that movie.

    I kinda disagree. I think people will view this as a spinoff. From the name alone, it sounds like one.

    Eternals MTC2 Thursday: Showtimes: 2026 Seats Sold: 46236/326085 (+3034) $ Sales: 638644 (+39915) BW was at 70818/470745 at a similar point (+5600 in a day and a half) SC was at 34283/337782 at a similar point (+3000-3500 in the previous day) Obviously it did bump today but not sure it was enough to totally turn things around. Needs a good bump tomorrow. SC sold around 4900 in the next 24 hr. Just Thu for today, will post Fri in the morning.

    If everything goes right, it should beat Loki comfortably in the core SW markets (USA/Europe/Aus) though I guess we only have reliable data for the US anyway. My personal opinion on the storytelling advisability of the "rematch" aside, it will be a massive moment for a lot of people. It will blow the show up on a level comparable to Luke in Mando, if not even more, especially if the duel itself is well-staged and appropriately emotional.

    This will be huge among a certain group of SW fans (and I am very much among them), but I do wonder just how much that hype will translate overall. Still, Obi-Wan is a big enough name in SW that this should be the most successful non-Mando series by a mile. And if it isn't, it means some other series probably blew up. That said, one thing I noticed is despite the really positive reaction to Hayden returning online, my dad (who is not a fan of the prequels) immediately said "why?" I wonder if general audiences may react that way. Still, these D+ shows are more for the fans anyway.

    My vibes have actually improved, if anything, after I wasn't a big fan of the first trailer. Even if this film is a mess, I don't see how it's not at least a very entertaining mess.

    Most of the answers in here are kinda weird and are putting mild disappointments or "great but not as great as they could have been" performances up there with genuine disasters. Frozen 2 really? Alice Through the Looking Glass has to be up here I suppose, though wasn't on the forums to know what the expectations were, but a sequel to a billion dollar movie doing only 300 mil has to be a disappointment. Lego Movie 2 also had a disastrous drop from the first. As far as answers on here already I do agree with BvS and War for Planet.

    I know Feige is saying don't raise expectations and all that, but really, if you're going to bring back villains from the old films, I don't see why you wouldn't bring back the heroes. I honestly find the prospect of Holland, Garfield, and Maguire teaming up to be much more exciting than just facing off against old villains.

Guess it will final at maybe low 60s/770-790k. Saturday Showtimes: 2327 (+29) Seats Sold: 26211/312575 (+3400) $ Sales: 313282 (+29037) Definitely looking like a hefty Sat drop. Eternals later tonight probably.

    Anyway data from yesterday (it differs from where Keyser had it but not significantly): Eternals MTC2 Thursday: Showtimes: 1968 (+1) Seats Sold: 39442/319863 (+4574) $ Sales: 548459 (+53621) Friday: Showtimes: 3720 Seats Sold: 31584/620839 (+4900) $ Sales: 413952 (+56876) 2 days and a few hours of data. Not as awful as I was thinking at first but still way behind BW. I don't have exact comps for today but Thursday pace around 60% of BW and Friday pace probably 65-70%.

    It's pace did not increase at all from last week. That trend is beyond disastrous so I can definitely see it plunging in the final week (relative to others). But more likely in line with your prediction.

    I think I am not getting all of the shows. I get only 1968 shows and 39442 for previews. Maybe I need to double check something in my show counter.

I started an Eternals run, will post tomorrow morning so I can sleep early tonight.

    I will give it another try before going that route. I have gotten this type of error on shows before but usually just one or two, now it's a decent portion. But I'm running Eternals now and it looks fine so far. Also doing some debugging to make sure it isn't something on my end.
