Yeah it could be Disney's Jumanji. Seems like a solid crowd-pleaser that might benefit from being one of the first movies once people are more comfortable going out in public again.
Pixar should start being more efficient with their resources. Sony Animation can do great things with under $100M production budget. Illumination, well, they do enough to still make a shit ton of money I guess XD
The difference between TMNT 2014 and Sonic is that people actually like Sonic. TMNT 2014 did well financially but its sequel crashed and burned. The Sonic sequel (it will be greenlit any day now) might still decline but will fare much better than the TMNT sequel did.
I completely forgot that Spies in Disguise was a thing. Oof, didn't even double its production budget.

The family audience was starving for a new family movie after Frozen 2 (a good one: sorry, Dolittle), and Paramount delivered a decent crowd-pleaser in Sonic.
