Why not move it up a week and release on the 4th? I'm still bitter we never had a Cap movie release on Independence Day, but Superman seems like a great fit too.
Disappointed that it’s not a full reboot but a convoluted partial reboot, and two concurrent Batmans is not a good idea for the fanbase. It will inevitably lead to different factions fighting over which version is superior. Right now I can’t say I’m excited about any of these. Hopefully we get some casting/directing news soon.
This was a great fun time. Lots of great action, heart and laughs. Also definitely hinting at a Shrek 4 at the end. Definitely go watch this during the holidays if you can, and bring the family.
That was when I finally stopped lurking and created an account. I found this site during BP's OW, and when the Endgame presale party started I just couldn't pass that by. Such fun times.
Can't compare the old unverified audience scores with the verified scores. It's considerably worse than TGM, but also slightly below BPWF at 94, which I think we can all agree has good but not amazing WoM.
I never watched OT when I was a child, and only watched it after TPM came out and I was about 20, IMO they're pretty similar in terms of overall quality, OT barely edging out due to RotJ. ST much worse overall. I think if you watch SW as an adult without nostalgia it doesn't hold up at all outside of technical aspects.
I'm definitely looking forward to this mainly because I find this whole history and Oppenheimer himself fascinating. Skipped Tenet and Dunkirk after being massively letdown by Interstellar, but Nolan's got my interest back with this one.
Interstellar was 10/10 until the ending which was an absolute travesty, ruined the entire movie that came before and dragged the whole thing down to a 6/10 at best.
Arrival > Martian >> Gravity >>> Interstellar
