  1. Aladdin was great. I appreciated the longer takes. And some Guy Ritchie sprinkled throughout. Naomi scott is a superstar and is the best part of this film. Will Smith is fantastic. I hope it has legs, and I hope people get out and see it. My showing went from 1/3rd full to sold out tonight in a few hours, so I’m hopeful that maybe WOM will carry it. If you want a fun film that entertains and somehow finds a way to make Jam hilarious, then go see it. It’s worth it.
  2. I was fully expecting him to HATE this film, and when I saw his tweet last night, I was shocked.
  3. Legitimately think Disney really messed up this movie by holding the embargo back so far. Unless they are going to do a major advertising push starting today into Memorial Day. I will say this, there are more tickets being sold for Saturday then there was last week at my theater.
  4. According to a few tweets, they are having a press screening tonight at the arclight In LA. so, I guess all press screenings aren’t held until Tuesday. the reviews lifting Wednesday is a bit iffy, but I was under the impression they weren’t having any showings at all until then.
  5. What did you hear? All I am seeing is lots of positives tweets coming out of another screening this morning from UK writers. It’s weird they are not having any press screenings for the US press until Tuesday.
  6. I want it to be good. I am excited for it and and buying my tickets tomorrow. I just don't know how this thing breaks 100 million over the 4-day weekend. Unless somehow, tickets increase heavily over the next 7 days.
  7. I will be honest, didn't expect there to be so many positive reviews. it will probably be 60 - 70s range on RT's Probably a lot of the movie is "fine"
  8. I am seeing positive buzz on twitter from some people over in the UK who got out of a press screening earlier today and most are saying it is better than it looks. One said that Guy Richie doesn't have a good grasp on musicals, but the leads and Smith are all very good. Obviously this is no indication on the how the US press will take to it (and we won't know until Monday/Tuesday) but it looks like this movie is better than expected. I just don't know if it will show box office wise.
