As a brazilian I can say people here only like pixar-disney-super heroes things. Which is a shame. Experimentalism always loses to mainstream and hype.

What i find interesting about x men is that i was never into american comic books, but x man and spider man were good cartoons in the 90's which i watched on my brazilian cable tv that it made me watch xmen 1 2 and spidey 1 and 2 on the movies and i still think those are the definitive and iconic super hero movies for me ( more than dark knight or avengers), but then the sequels werent so good.

Critics tell if the movie is good. Audience tells if they liked the movie. Its perfectly ok to like an average movie like Alladin as it is to consider only average a movie liked by the majority.

I was too young to enjoy the Flintstones movie, but I still think they had the right cheesiness for the 90´s if I remember.
