If Feige is smart (and we know he is), you ideally shouldn't have to rewatch anything in order to "get" this movie. I am prepared to test this theory, as the only Marvel-related endeavor I've seen in the last couple of years since Endgame has been No Way Home!
That's been my thinking on their TV shows, won't be essential to understanding the movies (just flesh things out a bit). Say someone goes from Endgame (where Falcon gets the Captain America mantle) to Cap 4 and skips the F&WS show...well it's the same outcome.

If anything, the lack of cameos vs the insane rumours from earlier make me more optimistic about the film.

April:
Morbius - 2/10
Colors - 5/10
Armageddon - 8/10
Cry Macho - 8/10 Still makes me cry...macho.
The Rock - 9/10
Catchfire aka Backtrack - 6/10 Surprised this hasn't become a minor cult film, has the most stacked cast ever and it's just bug nuts insane.
Pearl Harbor - 3/10
Bad Boys II - 10/10
AmbuLAnce - 8/10
Everything Everywhere All At Once - 9/10
The Hustler - 10/10
The Island - 6/10
AmbuLAnce (round 2) - 9/10 Film of the year for me so far, first film I've seen in years that really made me feel like I was seeing something wholly new and revolutionary on a technical level. The Drones!
The Color of Money - 8/10
The Heartbreak Kid - 9/10
Transformers - 7/10
Ishtar - 8/10 It's good, Warren Beatty and Dustin Hoffman's crappy little songs are funny! Doesn't deserve its worst film of all time moniker.
The Wizard of Oz - 9/10
Boogie Nights - 9/10
Hard Eight - 7/10
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 6/10 Genuinely fried my brain watching this, I wouldn't say its good but its fascinating to watch with some killer visuals.
The Northman - 8/10
Conan the Barbarian - 10/10
Punch Drunk Love - 8/10
The Evil Dead - 10/10 The film that inspired me to get into filmmaking.
Crimewave - 4/10
Evil Dead II - 10/10
Army of Darkness - 10/10
Spider-Man - 9/10
Black Dynamite - 8/10
Darkman - 7/10
Doctor Strange - 6/10
The Quick and the Dead - 8/10 One of Raimi's most underrated, a gonzo spaghetti western riff that absolutely rules.
Spider-Man 2 - 10/10
There Will Be Blood - 8/10
TV:
Star Trek: Picard Season 1 - 3/10 Finally got around to this to catch up for season 2 and it was just depressing to watch, I miss Star Trek.

I thought those first few pics were from the sequel initially. Insane how good it still looks.

Surprised Joe Carnahan has never directed a FnF movie.
I'm a fan of his work but he's notoriously difficult to work with as well.

Lol I guess criticizing soulless cynical studio reboots now = hating cinema out right.

Post production is taking longer than anticipated having to trace all the actors in thick black outlines.

Hopefully it's just more PR talk from Raimi about toning down, we'll find out soon enough but the clips aren't making me overly optimistic.

This movie continues to look very ugly visually but I'm a sucker for dinos so yeah I'll see it.

Where's the trailer.
Debuting with Dr Strange 2 then dropping online a week later.

3 is already filmed but watch Cameron decide to fully innovate and create new tech for 4-5 leading to another decade plus long delay for the later sequels.

Outside of Atomic Blonde, David Leitch’s films have been just awful (Bullet train looks fun though so maybe he just turns off for franchise films). F8 was meh but it was well directed, wouldn’t be opposed to F Gary Gray.

cgi paul walker is my guess.
There were rumours that the family signed off on that. I’d like to think it’s just to have him for the final BBQ scene (which would be fine imo) and not a main character again…but who knows.

Justin Lin stepping down over creative differences.
I hope Vin takes up the mantle, he directed that Fast short film Los Bandeloros for 4 (and it’s much better than 4). Vin auteurism is what cinema needs.

I think the only DCEU movie scheduled to be released after The Flash is Blue Beetle, which didn't start filming yet. Black Adam, Shazam, Aquaman 2 and Batgirl are all currently expected to be released before it.
Batgirl HAS Keaton in it though in their main universe, I figured they already pushed it to be post Flash.

In the long term, it's probably best to recast/shoot even if they end up losing money in the end due to the gargantuan production costs. The future of the DCEU is riding on this film wiping the slate clean.
If it gets pushed back though, they'd probably need to delay/reshoot other DCEU films set in the new universe too though right? I don't envy David Zaslov right now thats for sure.

I love Hobbs in 5-7 (Fast Five is his best performance aside from Pain and Gain) but afterwards he just plays himself. That constant ironic wink to the camera in 8 and H&S just clashes so heavily with the series' earnest sincerity and it sucks. Genuinely glad he's not coming back for the finale.

Seems like it. I wonder how soon after this the GA will see anything. Once it drops the fire won't stop rising.
There's rumours of the trailer being attached to Dr Strange 2 and...well I haven't seen any of my local theatres book as many 3d shows and IMAX 3D in years until this movie.

I mean it may sound too simple but the best title for the next installment is probably Dumbledore: something
Dumbledore: Rise of the Phoenix or whatever.
He is one the most iconic names from the original story, they used his name for a reason here, so if they want to rebrand the story and to finish it, that's the best option IMO.
With a microscopic Fantastic Beasts title logo next to it to maintain the tradition of making it smaller and smaller.

So I’m assuming Part 2 will be Furious X

Great film! The dream scenes and lack of modernization for the films “moral code” will likely turn off some but aside from that, it’s a pretty simple and straight forward revenge flick. Definitely not the arthouse historical epic like Green Knight was.
Conan the Barbarian in Viking times crossed with Hamlet. The protagonist Amleth was the actual inspiration for Shakespeare though, he just moved the H to the front ha. Easily my favourite Eggers film.
Visually this film looks great but it’s the sound design that really wowed me. Needs to be seen in a theatre.

Fast X | May 19 2023 | Part 1 of an epic finale trilogy | Critics say Jason Momoa does a good job

He was complaining on his IG prior to Lin leaving about an unfinished script and having to fight to get Mia in the film as she was not originally in X. That plus everyone has their breaking point regardless of how many past entries he's done.
