People in here are acting like critics hate kids films even though a majority of illumination films have fresh RT scores lol. Like come on..if a lot of critics think the film has no substance what happens if the general audience thinks that?

I don’t know why but I feel like this movie will completely underperform the high expectations that so many people have for it. How often have we seen video game movies be hyped up to have big box office only to fall short of their expectations? I just don’t know about this one.

Scott is 100% right and it speaks to how poorly Superman has been adapted into film over the years. Also, that Friday number for Nope looks pretty good unless I’m dead wrong.

Moving the film to streaming only would be a completely unprecedented decision and may be the dagger for theater chains if WW84 is successful on streaminhg, but I don’t think they are gonna do it because there is too much money on the line especially when they can release WW84 in December and move Dune to another release date. depending on how long this coronavirus lasts, it may eventually be wise just to release it on streaming, especially if it goes on past July or August

If this movie gets about 50% on rotten tomatoes, I’ll eat a cockroach. There is no way it will get even above 50%. Probably will land around the thirties.

I find statements like these weird. People award films that take risks all the time like Get Out, Knives Out, and Hustlers with big box office success. This movie flopped because nobody liked it and it looked terrible with a terrible story to boot.

I'm shocked that doctor sleep performed so badly, but I guess it's a sequel no one really asked for to a film that is a cult classic, but no exactly general audience friendly. I think a good comparison to this would be blade runner 2049, another film that was overhyped for it's box office but ended up underperforming. I think this film will make film Twitter really happy though.
