Awesome movie 👏!

The movie was great 😊.

I remember people were upset a couple of weeks ago when she did an interview defending Woody Allen from sexual abuse allegations. She also has come under fire from people for taking roles from marginalized groups like Asians and trans people and then doubling downing on this by claiming she has a right as an actor to take any role she wants. Maybe it’s just my social media feed but I remember seeing a lot of post hating on her, claiming she is overrated etc. Though everything has since died down a bit.

Does anybody know how the controversies surrounding Scarlett Johansson might affect this film’s box office performance? I’ve been noticing a lot of hate for her on social media, it seems to have cooled down a bit though.

Will Smith really messed up turning down that role in Django Unchained.

A good murder mystery movie is hard to come by, so I hope this film is a success for that reason. I still imo that the movie would do better domestically at the Boxoffice if it’s release in early November.

I am starting to see more positive buzz surrounding this movie, things may turn out ok after all.

I doubt it is that deep, a couple people complaining on the internet means nothing. It sucks that everything has to turn into a culture war these days.

Based on the RT score, audience reaction to the film seems to be a lot more lukewarm than the critics. Seems like a lot of people were disappointed that Cardi B and Lizzo weren’t a bigger part of the film.

Yeah it probably make a decent profit, i just wasn’t sure if entertainment aimed at adults during Thanksgiving weekend would work, but the good reviews and star power in the movie bolds very well for it.

I was just saying the movie would likely get overshadowed by kid orientated movies like Frozen 2 on its release during Thanksgiving weekend.

Wasn’t twitter angry at Cardi B just a couple months ago when it came out she use to drug and rob men when she worked as a stripper? Remember all those memes comparing her to R kelly and Bill Cosby? Now she is in a movie about strippers robbing men that is getting rave reviews... the world is too funny sometimes, I am starting to wonder if her publicist leaked those tapes of her admitting that in order to increase PR for the movie. Anyways this movie looks right up my alley, I’ll probably go see it this weekend. My guess it will make a healthy 25-30 millions this weekend. Women will definitely want to see it because if the girl power aspect and since it’s a stripper movie with attractive leads that could help drawn in male audiences.

Despite the reviews I definitely still want to go see this, it’s rare this day in age that filmmakers are willing to take risk like this, I like reward filmmakers who make such risks.

Looks interesting, it will likely however be overshadowed by more popular movies coming out around its release date like Frozen 2, since I figure most parents will prefer to take their children to that then this.
