How is The Marvels doing here? It's doing abysmal in Latam so I'm curious about the main markets in Europe since latinos love MCU more than europeans (UK, Germany and France).

Being 100% honest, the sales for this are looking similar to Shazam 2 here in my city in Brazil (and I live in one of the biggest cities in the country). I think it will gross more than Shazam 2 ($3.5M) but will struggle to surpass Black Widow ($6.6M), Shang Chi ($7.5M), The Flash ($7.6M), Blue Beetle ($8.1M) and maybe even Birds of Prey ($5.8M) and The Suicide Squad ($4.5M), not to mention Black Adam ($15M) and Eternals ($12M). I literally counted 28 tickets sold for all previews here in my city, which is abysmal (and the rest of the weekend doesn't look better). The first movie grossed $38.2M in Brazil and $33.3M in Mexico, so I'm saying this because I'm genuinely shocked 💀 It will flop big time in LATAM. I'm curious about Europe.

Presales for The Marvels in Brazil are TERRIBLE. It will sure gross less than all 3 MCU movies released in 2021 during pandemic and restrictions: Black Widow ($6.6M), Shang-Chi ($7.5M) and Eternals ($12.6M) as well as Flash ($7.6M), Blue Beetle ($8.1M) and Black Adam ($15.3M). I saw that it sold 49 tickets out of 12,000 available in 12 hours of presale in Mexico and was shocked. The Flash sold 634/10,000, Across the Spider-verse 2,200/17,800 and the last Insidious sold 58. And that's because LATAM loves MCU more than Europe.

Wan made clear on the first movie that he would only release the trailer when the vfx was done, so people would have a bigger picture on how the movie looked like. And it was released in mid July. I really think that was the case too, BUT it had several reshoots so they were probably choosing the final version so they would have any idea of what to show.

Excellent trailer. Looks exactly like the first but bigger in scale and improved effects, which is definitely not easy. I believe in the tests, but that's something that has happening in the last... 10 years for Wan? Including the first movie. Idk we just need to see it. The horror elements and Black Manta are the hook for me. I like when villains are villains so if Manta kills Aquababy and his dad would be great. Can't wait. And they should start doing more marketing bc their highest gross deserves it!
