    Encanto’s success only shows that Disney made a mistake by not making Raya a musical,or at least, having a couple of songs. The Disney movies that have been more remembered over time are musicals. Coco, Frozen 1&2, Moana and tangled are still in people’s mind, while Zootopia, Big Hero 6, Ralph or Inside out are not as popular as they used to be

    To me Encanto is way better than Moana. I hope Encanto gets all the attention that Moana has got during these two years

    Also Sony could still try for a release date in China for NWH and worry about Morbius release date later. Instead of having two films in "the waiting list"

    I have heard some people in latin america getting subscribed bc of this movie, but I dont expect it to make a huge impact in subs here.

    Ok that explains why the gov account posts about it, but the official spider man account? They should stop posting unless they have a comfirmed date also if Marvel and Disney have problems, what could happen to Shanghai Disneyland? At this point if its is released It will get the worst release date or 6 months after its debut, like jungle Cruise

    What I dont understand is why the weibo account where the gov posts keeps posting some stuff about no way home. It just gives false hope to fans https://m.weibo.cn/detail/4717146380440118 Same with the official spiderman weibo account: https://m.weibo.cn/detail/4717129619998225 it just dont make sense, if the movie will not be released, then why keep advertising it?

    Sure Frozen 2 was too frontleaded but the movie had very little holidays to help it for its first weeks and when they arrived, star wars came and took many screens from it

    Tom Hardy’s comments about China Regarding NWH, there was an article yesterday about hollywood movies been suspended bc of Olympics boycott from the US. According to this article, the movie was accepted until this happened (this was on december 12th) however I found weird that spider-man official weibo account keeps advertising the movie with rotten tomatoes score. However, sony pictures weibo account is not promoting it.

    When will this movie hit the billion dollar mark? In three weeks?

    Omg I cried, I laughed, I gasped, my full theater was cheering. Then suddenly the audio went off in a crucial part. So people were angry, but staff acted quicly and everything was solved.

    Ok any ow prediction?, i know presales have been slower than other european countries, I hope christmas legs+ decline of infections + lack of competition help the movie

    Is Encanto boycotted by theaters in Japan? Or are people just waiting for disney plus, bc it seems it has a low performance over there?

    My bad I thought Portugal was gonna lockdown, but in the end it was just that they will close boarders

    Another day another country in Europe that announces going back to lockdown. At this point NWH will lose a lot of money from Europe
