10m impressions for trailer tweet on Main Marvel Studios channel so far. Have to say not quite a lot. Even random tweets end up getting 50m impressions. Awareness is low.

I think if there was no covid , MCU would have been doing very good. Wandavision is still one of the most talked about show of recent times.

For people saying tonal shift. Personally for me this movie feels like perfect culmination of Scott and Cassie story so far ( which has always been the hook of the Ant Man more than so the Hope and Scott romance) I am actually happy with this direction if they pull it off.

So James Cameron won in the end. Avatar 4 is pretty much done deal seeing these numbers.

80% of the blame goes to Cameron fans who have been inciting these over predictions for long time. I remember some even use to come to Avengers Endgame related threads to talk about how A2 will do 4bn+

Btw these movies would be doing even more if they had a lead actor that audience even cared a bit. Sam Worthington is total flop in eyes of audience. He is the least interesting lead of Cameron and even with Part 2 he didn't do much. Zoe Saldana character despite not as meaty actually leaves some mark on people.

Idk about 20m on other 2 days left but regardless this is great performance. It makes me hopeful that A2 will do around 600m at the end. I think 600m is a great outcome nonetheless. Part 2 was lackluster plot wise but James Cameron vision saves the day. Hopefully they saw the mistakes and making part 3 a bit better ( I know it's already shot)

Btw those Mario predictions are sky high too. Maybe it will reach them but idk. How many game to movies adaption have reached 800-1b worldwide? I think none.

Hopefully yes. Animation performance at box office is most concerning to me. And yes I blame Disney a lot for that. Encanto , Luca and Soul would have done actually good to great on box office if Disney+ window and advertisements were not there. Disney giving up on 3 major films really set animation back.

Also we need some great animation break outs like zootopia or Frozen cause even animation is now mostly franchise, rest just doesn't work much.

Spiderverse would be lucky to make 500m GP is not here for such a complicated plot and believe it outside of Comic book fandom most won't care for so many Spider-Man as they don't them. This is not same case as NWH.
