If this moves... July is gonna look pretty bleak. What's funny is that would've been a great date for The Batman lol but I guess the gross probably wouldn't have been that different domestically but could've helped overseas.

Euphoria is the most unintentionally hilarious show on TV with some of the worst acting you'll ever see. From Zendaya's face-making just screaming "look at me acting" to Sydney Sweeney's doing whatever her one-note airhead thing is (when she's not taking her top off) to the ponderous pretentiousness of the whole endeavor, it really has to be seen to be believed.
At least 90210 was entertaining at the beginning.
Mmm idk if you've seen Euphoria at all because none of the statements you said about it are true lol. Season 2 pales in comparison to S1 but I don't really see how its so bad it's funny. Zendaya's performance in episode 5 of Season 2 is incredible. And Sydney Sweeney was great the whole show despite getting a horrible S2 storyline. But anyways...

I think this upcoming weekend will be telling if Batman hits 400m. The drops for the 3 weekends after that may be hard with 3 straight weeks of "big" movies so will be interesting to see.

Just got out of Lost City. Think it's gonna make bank. Works totally because Bullock and Tatum are great together. Audience I saw it with laughed a lot (wasn't that funny to me but I had fun lol)

Ok... so idk if this will be a thing everywhere but I'm in the theater for Lost City and a good chuck of the audience are older women. Maybe this will get that demo more to the theater? Interesting..

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say The Lost City opens close to what The Heat did. I say this as I'm about to see it in an hour lol but idk I have a feeling this is the perfect storm for it to do as well as it can.

I honestly can see Fantastic Beasts 3 total below the opening of the first one... lol but I think there should be some hunger from the fandom to see it (even with all the baggage there has been with being a HP fan...) so we'll see. I could see an opening as low as mid 30s or high 50s.
-
Yeah tbh I'm kinda expecting this to open at Jungle Cruise #s, mid 30s. Won't be too surprised if it ends up being 20s but I feel like with Dog doing well and Bullock pretty reliable in a movie like this it should overperform.

For some reason only 3 theaters in my city are doing Lost City previews tonight... all are pretty full, will be going tonight.

Ffff at Deadline saying $5.7m including previews but a $19m opening... uh
-
$10.6m for The Batman via The Numbers.

Another great weekend for most of the holdovers. Uncharted down 8% from last Friday, NWH down 10%! Wow. And Dog will probably hit 4x multiplier. Jesus.

Oh ok so The Number's # isn't counting previews lol

Exactly, we've just accepted that good movies will flop while bad ones (like The Batman) will thrive.
Keep saying it all over the forum but... The Batman is generally a well liked film. Nothing wrong with not liking it but it's doing well because people are liking it.

Really wanna see this with my for-the-foreseeable-future-bedridden-dad, anyone know how long it usually takes for A24's to reach digital?
It'll probably be available to rent for $20 a month or so after release. Guess X's release will be telling

Belle deserved to perform better in the US sigh. Would be nice to see a anime film like that do big.

If you would've told me last year No Way Home would finish less than $60m less than Endgame I would've laughed. Absolutely nuts.
-
Was expecting a stronger # for X.

After CoG opening in the 60s an opening over 50m+ would not be horrible. Below it yikes

Idk how much of that drop accounted for Jujutsu having imax screens, probably a little
-
My theater probably had like 25 peoplr but luckily no one obnoxious. Some laughs in the last act including myself.
I thought the movie was solid. Could it have been better? Sure. Dug the ending though.

Grace Randolph literally just made a 18 minute video on why this should hit a billion... embarassing.
