  1. 'Said on his computer build through capitalism.' I love how when someone puts everything in perspective for some of you, you resort to anger and insults. Pretty much sums up your intelligence Also if it helps mods, please dont ban him for his comment as I really dont mind
  2. He's saying capitalism will kill us faster than Covid, i have to laugh at the ignorance of that comment alone. Capitalism gave us the cure to covid lol You kids are funny
  3. Catpitalism has given you the tools to rant your opinion on this very platform.
  4. Social media is the home of exaggerated complaints of people who love to paint themselves as victims. 80% of what people post on social media is manipulative bullshit.
  5. There something embarrassingly ironic about people on a movie forum complaining about capatalism isnt there.
  6. Probably because of all the off-screen tension. I loved Fast Five but I've only seen the rest once and can't really tell them apart to remember
  7. I care about Cineworld's share price 😂. That being said my Thatcher comment was tongue in cheek, I think people working behind the scenes deserve more pay than many actors out there who take up a huge chunk of a films budget. I think that needs to be looked at more than anything.
  8. Here are my likely not so popular opinions. Hayden Christian in Star Wars The two leads in Valerian. Keane Reeves in anything that requires good acting (though i love this guy) Brie Larson for CM (she wasn't bad but her performance wasnt as fun as other MCU actors) Ben Affleck in any superhero movie ever (seriously how did they not learn from Daredevil) Quentin Tarintino every time he casts himself Jared Leto in Suicide Squad (he was one of many factors but his performance seemed unfinished and lazy) Brad Pitt in Troy (he's serviceable until he has to share screen time with Eric Banner, he looked the part though) The kids in the narnia movies Nuff said These are all hyperbole as few of them actually ruined their movies (if any) but Tarintino came close in Django. That Auzzie accent was just hilarious
  9. That would have been brilliant. Wish i never read this, now that scene will always disappoint me
  10. It seems to me Vin and co didnt like the fact that The Rock joining the franchise made it more relevant at the box office.
  11. So the underperomance is less to do with a lack of interest in Bond and more to do with america's poor handling of Covid keeping its target audience at home?
  12. That's just Christmas legs for you. No-one expected TFA to make 930m despite a huge opening guaranteed to take place even though that's what holiday legs are famous for. Spiderman being released at Christmas is going to make them far more than it would have during a summer period. Though yes there is still a pandemic and a worrying rise in cases and deaths could mute its performance, but if that doesn't happen (yes a big but) then I think it does the 500m in 14 days for about a 650-700m Dom finish. This actually puts it slightly lower than films like TDK and Spider-Man 2001 for tickets sold. We cant ignore those trailer views and the power of nostalgia so we already know this will open big
  13. Delaying the release for too long means added spending on marketing and forces them to sit on potential money which could be spent on other projects generating more income
  14. I just want them to make a Bond film smart and good enough that I don't mind watching the leads sitting for half the movie playing cards.
  15. I've not seen many of the older Bond movies but some of the ones I saw there was a lack of consent and more an assumption of 'sleep with me now'. These were generally problematic scenes in these older movies that have rightfully been called out since.
  16. But that's what villians do, they do villainy like things to make us hate them. I also don't see why Bond can't consesntially sleep with someone because she used to be a sex slave, if anything that's treating her like damaged goods
  17. It depends on the audience. In the UK people don't talk about being offended by a James bond movie. I can get behind the old Sean Connery movies being problematic by the way he pretty much forced women into bed with him but the Brosnan movies were just him having hamless fun after saving the day. And you'd really have to be nit picking to pick a bone with the Craig Era movies,
  18. Imagine finding offence in the Craig or Bronson era movies lol. Fortunately we don't make Bond movies for pussies Eric
  19. Okay that's hyperbole but the fact they managed to turn a 2b initial grosser into the state it is now shows they fucked up. SW is the grand daddy of franchises which made them 2b from a trailer alone. The built in fanbase and hype gave them their highest grossing movie but it's gone massively down hill since then. Disney knew how to sell the product but unfortunately didn't know how to make them. It may not be dead but it's clear the disappointing results they've had lately has forced them to rethink all those films in the pipeline. The fact the trilogy endee only ended up doing a bit better than the Hobbits finale just shows the drop in audience they had
