I can vouch for it being big in the UK. It's a religion here, literally. When you go to Church the preist doesn't read passages from the Bible, he reads from the Dune novels. They say there is on average 3 Dune novels per UK households bedroom, it's crazy
Yeah he really was a one hit wonder however I enjoyed Elysium and Chappie even if critics didn't.
Speaking of one hit wonders, Kerry Conran directed 'Sky Captain' which I remember being a blast but he never directed a movie again. Though I guess sky captain wasn't a hit
3 months prior isn't too bad imo. If my memory serves me correct they left it that late with Avatar
I believe this has a great release date, it baffles me how studios don't take advantage of the Christmas holidays when it comes to releasing movies. I was today years old when I discovered Aquaman is the highest grossing DC movie, also the only DC movie I remember being released during the holidays.
Fair enough I didn't realise they had sizable OS grosses to save them. I'd still call every film you mentioned a financial disappointment though (except MI) and I don't think TG2 will be the big hit some are expecting.
But anyways, no more derailing, whens this Matrix trailer coming?
And how did Tom Cruise's other movies perform that weren't called Mission Impossible?
Its just my prediction, I've given my reason as to why, please don't label me a troll because my opinion differs to yours
How? Edge of tomorrow was one of the best sci fi movie this decade and it still flopped. Oblivion, a film with the same director and strong trailers also flopped. Tom Cruise hasn't had the best of track records lately for anything outside Mission Impossible
