  1. damn another hit for Disney! I went to see it on friday, was great! who'd have predicted even in January that Zootopia, Deadpool and now (possibly) The Jungle Book would make more money DOM than BvS. That's insane!
  2. It's easier to adjust the figures with Estimated Ticket sales, for the first run... For example in Star Wars Frachise TFA is currently at Second place already! It sold more tickets than TPM (84.8m), ESB (78.8m) and RoJ (80m) only behind ANH (142m), TFA has around 87.1m tickets sold if BOM is to be trusted! Avatar has 95m tickets sold in it's first run and Titanic 128m. BTW wasn't posted here that in it's original run of GWTW sold around 30m tickets?
  3. I think they are preparing a new reboot after this trailer.. It will be called Star Trek: Generations, with James McAvoy in the lead roll
  4. you are misreading what I've said:P I enjoyed the movie and I will probably watch again next week. I nitpick this 2 things just to show that in reality I didn't had a single problem with the movie! It's great fun and I loved the characters (old and new), as a movie is very well crafted and entertaining! For now I give it an 9/10 Yes the movie didn't reinvent the wheel, and so what?
  5. From my first viewing I only had 2 problems with this movie.. and none of them is what people are saying.. 1st one is when In Han's small base the monsters killing everyone and eating everyone but when they get Finn they don't eat it..they run...wtf?! 2nd one is when 3CPO calling Leia "princess, oh sorry, general"..dude you are with her for more than 30 years and you know that she is a general for a long time...no? why call princess all of a sudden? and you are a robot! this is my cons. I liked the idea of Remake/reboot of the series in this one... The ending was good! when Kylo is trying to get the LS and it flies to Rey (awesome), Han's death comes with no surprise, but Kylo was great! I think the 1st and 3rd act were the best, and they could bring something more for the middle and make a bigger movie. People are talking about the Death-Star-Thing like it was a big deal in the movie (it wasn't) there were more important things going on in the movie than the fight of the X-Wings and the Death-Star...
  6. i'm really hoping for bond to spice things up... this october have been so boring. btw Cjohn i'm leaving portugal and moving to england
  7. even without any records this is a great weekend to start October! HT2 held great! TM has a shot at 200m+ The rest of the month we still have Crimson Peak, Bridge of Spies, the Last Witch Hunter, Steve Jobs and maybe some other surprises, i can see a healthy month all around!
  8. Variety says it's the best Depp's performance ever http://variety.com/2015/film/festivals/black-mass-review-johnny-depp-whitey-bulger-1201570428/ RT 7 reviews 100%
  9. It was the perfect storm for the movie, it may not be as awesome as it's numbers suggests but people really wanted something different this year and JW filled that gap perfectly
  10. This year i went to see minions when it was released on USA thinking it was released here too xD came to cinema with my girlfriend and to our disappoint wasn't released xD still didn't see it:P and now i'll just wait to dvd release
  11. Yes, things changed a lot i remember years ago when Portugal was rare to have a global release and the movies usually come 1 week or 1 month later from USA. remember pretty well waiting 4 months to see godzilla here in 1998.
  12. We are used to that:P i was talking more in BO terms even if they come here in 2016 they will be labeled as 2015 movies anyway xD
  13. I personally would add this too Crimson Peak Victor Frankenstein Creed Joy The Revenant
