It was a marketing collaboration for the last Mission Impossible film in Japan. Top Gun did it too with Uma Musume.

Look, I'm not here to try and pretend Swift isn't insanely popular, nor to say a cameo on her part wouldn't add to this film's box office prospects, but I can't tell if some of the takes regarding how much she'd push the film's BO are troll or just plain delusion.

Feel like this market should start celebrating non-DS records since nothings ever beating those 😛 Very impressive start for Conan.

Doesn't seem like this will open much differently compared to last year's, I'd give this the edge even if it comes slightly below in admits due to ATP increase though. Thinking it will still win out in final gross due to not having to share GW with another big film.

I guess I don't have to wonder anymore. If anything I should probably ask myself why it didn't tank as hard overseas. This film is terrible and the worst thing WDAS has ever put out. What a fucking waste of time. It doesn't look good. The songs are not catchy whatsoever. Narratively it is completely broken often bordering on the nonsensical. Almost no joke lands. Almost every character is completely forgettable if not downright annoying. The references to the frankly much better films this is littered with only made it worse.

If it was as simple as "just make good movies" no studio would ever put out a bad film. But, believe it or not, "making good movies" is not actually an easy task!

She is A draw, but she is not THE draw. Without Joaquin they literally don't make the freaking film, y'all. Get real. Certainly an issue in the industry but does not mean it was an issue for this film specifically. 12M as a newly added cast member is a big fucking paycheck. If they go on to make Joker 3 she'll get to demand an even better one next time.

Gaga is a new addition...why would she be getting as much as Joaquin and Phil?
