  1. Now that America is finally starting to see Aquaman, anyone else grateful there was only one scream from Jason? 😂
  2. To be fair I think that has more to do with what Nicole Kidman has unfortunately done to her face.
  3. Yeh at least it has great reviews. Hopefully the fan base aren’t turning on it because it has a female lead, you know what these people can be like
  4. They certainly didn’t greenlitght it and say: “hopefully it grosses less than Last Knight”. They must’ve been hoping for growth in America at least.
  5. I don’t think a fresh reboot grossing the same as the last entry in the tired franchise is good. They rebooted it for a reason, and it wasn’t to make less money.
  6. Only 7 superhero origin movies have made over $300m so that would excellent for Aquaman. Suicide Squad and Guardians of the Galaxy are included but they’re also group movies. Theres actually only 14 over $200m cause that sub genre is dominated with sequels, spin offs and team ups. The biggest hit is still a solo film though, Black Panther.
  7. Hmm, it looks a bit all over the place. And where are the aliens lol. Chris is playing a calmer version of Kevin from Ghostbusters, which is fine. That’s my favourite role he’s had.
  8. THR still thinking MP will do $70m by Tuesday with $4.8m. (That would require Need to update their article. (that would require a multiplier of 15, TGS had a 7.6x for the same period) Poppins could miss $40m 5 day, but who knows, this time period is so unpredictable.
  9. Do you think they were aiming for “fine”? I saw it in IMAX 3D and it was insane.
  10. Not going over the top, because of holiday legs. But that’s a really shite opening day for Mary Poppins.
  11. Great point, I was just about to say this too! Jumanji and The Greatest Showman were freaks at the box office, TGS was evidently adored by audiences worldwide.
  12. The Greatest Showman soundtrack is #1 here in the U.K. It’s the longest running #1 album ever and hasn’t left the top 5 since this time last year. That’s a cultural phenomenon.
  13. Yikes!! to be fair these EW always look off. The actor playing Aladdin is handsome. But Jasmine is SO miscast.
  14. Wow I’ve lost all interest. Didn't realise the story was “straightwashed”, that’s terrible! but the Guardian addressed it in their scathing review. Also said Steve is “awful”. Now its clear why this was completely ignored this awards season.
  15. That’s an expected drop for Spider Man considering it played a bit older than usual for an animated film. Not the dreaded 80% they usually fall. No idea what that new release is, never heard of it.
  16. How do you decide though? Lots of critics are journalists. Some study film, I’m sure Randolph did
  17. Ha I just seen this on twitter, interestingly when you click the review it takes you to YouTube, so I’m guessing RT have changed the publication rules. To be fair, her reviews have more “readers/viewers” than the print ones. The other big youtube people will no doubt join soon, like the guy who waves his hands around constantly.
  18. I’ve only seen it once but the Hulkbuster one got laughs from the audience. I wonder if they fixed it for home release?
  19. Is Avengers Infinity War getting a special VFX nomination for Mark-Ruffallo-head-in-hulkbuster? The fact that it’s even being shortlisted with that, is a scream lol
  20. Lol, that looks incorrect. Gaga’s tour was only 6 shows in 2018 lol. I went to Shania, great to see her but she lip synced. Britney obviously mimed by show was fun. Seen Lana in 2017, her show was ok but she didn’t sing a lot of her bigger songs for some reason. Seeing Pink in June next year (not a big fan), Spice Girls in June too and Cher in October so far. I had tickets for a Jennifer Lopez show in Manchester a few years ago, maybe 2014, but it was cancelled as she only sold 800 tickets out of 12,000. Lol.
