Any update for Malaysia? Curious about Polis Evo 3's performance, probably will be more frontloaded than Mat Kilau but should be able to do at least 40m? -
Japan isn't really a growing market like a Saudi Arabia so I doubt it. But it is an animation so..

The first weekend of Febuary will be interesting, isn't The Chosen and the BTS thing both on that weekend? It was only for a day last year but I think it'll be shown the entire 3 days this time. I don't think it's safe to say that Knock on the Cabin will have the number 1 that weekend for sure.

What's with some older films having better CGI than newer big budget films? I just recently rewatched the first Transformers and the CGI looks really good.

What's with animations and missing grosses. Did anyone figure out where the Wednesday previews for Lightyear went.

DJ is super popular overseas though. Even movies like Rampage and Skyscraper made 400m WW ish. I think it'll do 200m minimum.

Could be true, my college friends and I would always plan in groups to watch animation films together so we're not embarrassed being the only few 2 or 3 people in a crowd of parents and children.

Yeah, with Minions taking the PLFs and morning slots and Mat Kilau doing record breaking numbers. It would've been a really nasty fight for screens if it kept its release date. Bummer though, the new release date coincides with me moving to college where there's no IMAXs nearby. -

Don't have Malaysian cable/Astro anymore so I've never even heard of this movie until the Kelantan no cinema news so they're organizing buses to watch in other states lmao. I'm guessing this is super huge among the Malay community? -
Thor:Ragnarok also opened slightly lower than the first Doctor Strange and finished behind it admissions wise (4.85m vs 5.44m)

Oh.. Korea specific? SK tends to like Marvel movies so maybe this could be an audience and critic split but not a good sign for sure. Maybe the humor is a bit much?

If this was the case then this should've impacted the box office in the previous weeks which wasn't really the case since most movies had similar bumps. Was the price today lower in particular?

TGM still has the best 5th Tuesday excluding holidays but almost no bump for it?? I guess the biggest question it's Wednesday drop.

No. Marketing and Advertising loss at least but it made back it's budget. More or less the same budget as Lightyear which won't even make it's budget(2x) not even mentioning it's advertising budget.
