  1. OP fan here but getting really big cringe vibes from Netflix adaptation after seeing trailer, similar to Cowboy Bebop level cringe unfortunately
  2. or maybe general lack of interest in Disney live action remakes
  3. Actually, digital version is in 1.85:1 which have little more information at top and bottom of frame than IMAX 1.90:1. It's in Dolby Vision too, will wait for 4k UHD blu-ray as I want physical release.
  4. Regard underwater stuff for TLM I wasn't expecting anything near close to A2 quality cgi as we know they spent years to work on this at Weta and other movies will not have such long workflow. But for The Little Mermaid I was more disappointed with overall gray, desaturated, lifeless look of whole movie especially underwater shoots than cgi itself.
  5. Never would though that Little Mermaid movie will look visually darker than DC Aquaman.
  6. first Avatar Collectors Extended Edition blu-ray was release November 16th, 2010, there's still hope!
  7. Don't think that's even possible with this movie without removing full important parts. There are many characters and cutting half an hour would need to cut whole sub plots (like e.g. whole Payakan plot) which are important to the overall story. For me first hour of the movie already felt rushed/cut too much, wanted to see more of how they lived on Pandora before Sky People came back.
  8. After mediocre numbers Ant-Man3 did in my area(central Europe) local IMAX dropped one daily show and placed again Avatar2 3D for upcoming weekend and next week. So going to see it sixth time this weekend in IMAX 3D HFR. Each time I see it the movie grows on me more with little subtle nuances here and there which I didn't pick up at other screenings. Love the scene when Lo'ak first time wakes up on Payakan and help remove harpoon from his fin. Close, handheld like camera motion and going above and below water surface without any cuts really feels like watching some documentary footage from different planet.
  9. They briefly explained WandaVision plot in MoM so people who didn't watch tv series are not lost, so probably something similar.
  10. Not the first one there were already few financial bombs in MCU: Eternals, Black Widow, Shang-Chi (this one maybe at breakeven but who knows)
  11. saw it in my local cinema to be still playing this weekend but number of daily shows has been slashed from around 8 to 1 compared to week before.
