  1. I agree 100% To me the issue is more than just that. Yeah that´s a big problem but many of the writers they had in Phase 3 wasn´t top notch either but they for the most part still did well. It seems that the overseeing from Feige has vanished completly. I remember seeing the notes Feige gave to the Amazing Spider-Man 2 script. He knows what he´s doing. Just don´t understand how this was allowed. Man what I would do to be a fly on the wall in meetings between Feige and Chapek the last 3 years. Michael Waldron did so good on Loki and on MoM it was meh... I´m sure some of it also comes from writers not getting proper time to actually make the script good enough. At least for Waldron that was pretty evident. But I can´t really see the writer for Kang Dynasti suddenly making something really good and strong. Even with proper time. Only hope is that the focus on quality control that they are talking so much will make the focus on giving the writers the time but also hire the proper writers. I´m sick of Rick and Morty. Waldron is the only one that has actually made something good and most people hated what he brought to the table on his first MCU film.
  2. Not really. One movie doing bad is not going to change much. Especially given the horrible reception. If more movies start to underperform while still being received well then I think we will see change.
  3. Well even though it´s still that, MCU threequel jumps are usually pretty big. It will barely increase, may even not on Ant-Man 2. It won´t get close to beat it worldwidwe. At least for Wakanda Forever you can point to the first Black Panther overperforming massively but not improving on the sequel that made only "622M" is not good. It might not even beat Ant-Man 2 adjusted for inflation domestically.
  4. Don´t believe it all. It´s all bs these days. Vieweranon is the only one of those on twitter you can trust.
  5. But NWH wouldn´t grossed nearly as much if it wasn´t received well. If it had been bad it prob would have gotten way less. It still would have made easy money but people act like the quality of the movie didn´t matter.
  6. I had a feeling of this even before we got the bad WOM and reviews. SK and China carried hard for OS for Ant-Man 2. Fact is that franchise in other markets have had ok grosses but compared to other MCU flicks bad. Now Marvel don´t have those markets anymore and no other markets can help like they can with other MCU movies. 250M at best. Flop.
  7. Weird that he doesn´t comp with Ant-Man 2 aswell. Italy doesn´t looks so bad compared to Ant-Man 2 while Taiwan looks not good
  8. Norway ain´t really better. 12,470 over two days. Think it was around 8k for the first day. This might go sub 50K with the bad WOM. Pre-sales are not good at all.
  9. Beating Ant-Man 1 isn´t a strong box office run. It will beat it easily.
  10. RT verified score are inflated. A good score on that has to be 90+. Look at scores: Black Widow: 91% = A- CS Shang-Chi: 98% score = A CS Eternals: 77% score = B CS No Way Home: 99% score = A+ CS Doctor Strange 2: 85% score = B+ CS Love and Thunder: 77% = B+ CS Wakanda Forever: 94% = A CS You clearly see that clear pattern in how RT verified is inflated and that a good score is 90+.
  11. To me they´re making to complicated than it has to be. NWH was easy and simple. They need to get around the need to make it so complicated. The average audience member won´t understand shit.
  12. The fight on the scaffold is much better. That said Tony Leung was fantastic. Underrated villain in my opinion. Every whisper has been about him, question is if he wants it. WF def took a toll on him. Nia Dacosta has always been mentioned but don´t know how legit that is.
  13. Shang-Chi is easily one of the best solo MCU movies. One of the few MCU movies that managed to capture pre-endgame MCU magic. Will easily gross more than the first one.
  14. Would think so. If it gets to say 35M I can´t see any other market beating that. Would assume Mexico would be closest but not beat it.
  15. Hopes this extents to MCU movies aswell. No more 45 days bs please
  16. If more MCU movies get released in the future I think we might have to lower our expectations to 20-40M rather than the 100M they did pre Endgame.
  17. Also Disney is def putting more PR stuff this weekend to combat the bad reviews and prob bad WOM to this one. Already a big Feige interview where he talks about everything but this movie and now that THR article.
  18. I thought Iron Heart was great in WF. Many people responded well to her. Now does she need a show to herself? No, I don´t think so. But the show being delayed to space out stuff and work more in post-production makes it more likely that the quality can be better than what it would have been. But they aren´t going to cancel a show that they have spent so much money on already. In my opinion Iron Heart is perfect for D+. Smaller known character are perfect for D+. The problem is that those kinda shows should be 1-2 a year max. When you have 3-4 shows a year for small characters like that it becomes too much and no reason to watch.
  19. Yeah I was simply looking at the bragging rights part in relation to numbers. People are very obsessed with raw numbers these days without focus on costs and all that.
  20. Yeah it won´t even get close to that during it´s full run. It is what it is. Whatever it gets while horrible compared to it´s previous MCU China movies it is still a boost to the BO. Just not as big as maybe one would have thought
  21. Better times are upon us hopefully. Sensible and correct changes.
  22. That´s at least encouraging. Not like B+ is anything but bad but at least then it´s in line with other MCU movies recently and not B which is just next level awful
