It should also be noted that I think Chapek being CEO didn´t help. The report of him making thing harder for creatives and meddling with BW release and all that. We will see how true it is if things suddenly becomes better under Iger again. They won´t do a Young Avengers movie. At least not use that name. It´s to valuable of name to throw away for that kind of movie. Also I don´t really get this Young Avengers hype within the fandom. There have been nothing hinting to it at all. Introducing characters that were apart of Young Avengers in the comics doesn´t automatically mean that´s the direction they will take in the MCU

I kinda disagree with partly. We will see what the outcome is but I believe that there is possible for them to see the change in Phase 5 just not before next year. The 10 month break after The Marvels kinda is perfect because they´re still yet to start shooting so many of the Phase 5 movies. A lot of the productions that are ramping up now will have the feedback from the negatives in Phase 4. Less projects will help with quality control hopefully. But for instance on the D+ side they already seem to be ditching the 6 hours movie b.s and moving on to making actual series. Wonder Woman will have reportedly have 10 episodes, Agatha will have 9 episodes and Daredevil with 18. So you can see here that they´re listening to common complaints, So there is possibly to change things quality wise for the stuff that is in pre-production. Especially because many of the movies have some similar complaints. That said I don´t think Marvel can get to a streak like Phase 6 at the earliest. The ball is in their corner now to prove to if they can do it. I remain hopeful but that is fading fast. However while not 3 years I think pushing back Kang Dynasti and Secret Wars is something they need to do. Give it more space. There´s is no place for a Spider-Man movie or DS3 that is apparently getting fasttracked without making like 5 movies a year.

Black Widow was well received in most places tho. At least up to the standard pre-Endgame. But I agree about the other movies spefically Love and Thunder and Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantumania

Some thoughts: - Modok death was weird. It didn´t to me at least looked like he was fatally wounded right there. I´m glad how they played off his death and didn´t try do actually make it said. - They did Kathryn Newton dirty this movie. She is given nothing to work it. She says "Dad" like 50 times this movie. - I really enjoyed the first 15 minutes before they went into the Quantum Realm. Felt like a proper Ant-Man sequel. It matched the vibe and tone that the first two had in a positive way - The rest of the first act after that is meh. The choice two split them up in two was bad. Movie started to drag and it really wasn´t any pay off as they get captured relative quick and meets up again without really anything big. They should all have been together and get captured togehter. - Modok didn´t need to be in the movie. It just becomes a tonal mess. Does nothing to serve the story either. Also Cassie saying "don´t be a dick" is what turns him good? COME ON. - Loved Kang. Wished we so more of him beating and destroying. - Visuals were amazing at times. Horrible other times, especially in the first act. - Post credits are fire however the first post credits seemed very rushed. Clearly was filmed newly. - LOKIIIIII MY GUY - Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly looked clueless this movie. Don´t know if they struggled with the volume or what it was but they were lost.

Kinda a mix of both? Like there is just so much in this movie yet nothing. Scott and Cassie´s relationship is barely explored. All is surface level with no really conflict or challenge for the protagonists. Hank Pym is just there. Wasp is just there. Janet is probably the characters that has most meaning in this movie. But like overall the movie is just meh.

< Yelena and Kate are the best new characters imo. I really like Kamala aswell. But to be fair we still have only seen most of these one time. Yelena we have seen two times and I think that has helped a lot with establishing her in the MCU. I hope they can do the same for Kate before Dynasti.

They are slowing down now it seems. Half of the 2023 slate of D+ show seems to have been pushed to 2024. So the original slate for 2023 now is over 2 year. Which thank the lords because 6 shows is way to much. But doubt we will see a full stop. There have been reports that they have revised a plan and looked at what didn´t work in Phase 4. But the affects of that aren´t going to be seen before 2024 on the movies side. Cap 4 and Thunderbolts starts filming soon. Hopefully they turn it around. Also in the meantime they better pray and hope that GotG vol 3 and The Marvels ain´t on this level. Sadly I believe it prob will be.

Just watched it. Just want to say first of I´m a big MCU fan and generally vibe with most of their output. I liked this but barely.. It´s so obvious that they didn´t have a proper plan for this movie before it was too late. It´s just ok. Rudd, Pfeiffer, Newton are great. Kang is awesome and saves this movie from being much worse. The use of volume is so obvious and look horrendous at times. Other times it actually looks fantastic. So a pretty big mix. Overall there is just nothing interesting about this movie. It just is there. Sets up Kang and that´s it. The writing is not good. I know the writer came in at a later stage but he really needs to step up for Kang Dynasti because this is not it. Hope Feige oversee that to help him because I have zero confidence in him. Also Modok? No reason for him to be in this movie. Jokes are ok. Some landed but I remember the days when MCU movies would make the whole theater erupt in laughter. Score: 7/10 and I´m being very nice due to Majors killing it as Kang. Box office will be modest for this one. 550M is my bet. Legs won´t be there. It screams wait for D+ release

I think this show will really benefit from that we haven´t had a MCU D+ show since October. This is how it should be imo. Really spaced out and not 4 shows in 8 months. Show looks to have a more serious tone than She-Hulk and Ms.Marvel aswell. Only thing that worries me is the 6-episode format.

Y´all are taking to far with the kang dynasti under 1b shit. Why is everyone reducing the new Avengers cast to Mackie and Larson? First of all Avengers name itself sells. The last two out of three MCU movies made 850M+. Unless every movie goes rotten there´s nothing to suggest that something like that will happen. They are still earning money. Thirdly while nobody can match RDJ, there is plenty of stars for this movie. Deadpool. Scarlet Witch. Doctor Strange. Spider-Man. Loki. Star-Lord. etc. Everyone seems awfully focused Captain Marvel and Captain America when Marvel has plenty of other characters that are super popular. Secret Wars will be a cameo fest so 1B shouldn´t be a problem. If this trend continues then yeah returns will be diminished but it ain´t going to go under 1B.

So about Modok... ya know Feige and them really need to know when to not take it to far. They usually had a good handle about what works from the comics and whatnot. This should have never been put into live-action. Not like this.

There is just no way it makes that much OS. Need a bigger domestic gross to reach that WW.

If it opens around what is projected 140-150M ish then 300M should be fairly doable even with horrendous WOM.

There are plenty of stories to tell after Endgame. So it makes sense to continue. I also was excited by the idea for D+ series to expand the universe to get more stories. But the 2022 output seemed like no care was taking into it overall. Ms.Marvel and Moon Knight falling to that stupid 6-episode format. She-Hulk horrendous writing and CGI... It feels very half assed. Also the volume is clearly something that Marvel doesn´t know how to use properly. 3 movies. 1-2 show that someone else is overseeing. At max.

WF should be a good comp for it then. Pre-sales almost identical and the two recent MCU releases
