This is test screening on the 25th.
Wish I could check it out…

I predict that it will make money.
End of discussion.

Heard this had a screening in Atlanta recently. Nothing but good things are being said about it.
Whoever thought it would be a good idea to put this and The Wild Robot close to each other needs to be fired.

Looks like they’re showing it at fantastic fest as well: https://www.austinchronicle.com/daily/screens/2024-08-15/fantastic-fest-announces-2024-lineup/
That’s within a week of it releasing though.

Prediction, this will be fucking huge. Definitely second biggest movie of 2025 WW behind Avatar 3 (barring an insane breakout from Minecraft)
- $220M 5-day opening weekend
- $640M DOM
- $825M OS-China
- $110M China
- $1.575B WW
It's the same story as Inside Out 2. Sequel to beloved original around one decade later.
Just made me realize, Zootopia 2 + Avatar 3 O/U $4B would be an interesting club to make.
Sounds reasonable. Hope it does well if it lives up to expectations.

Never seen Frozen and not sure if I should.
-
So, that’s all we’re hearing…
-
The original is a damn masterpiece.
I haven’t seen the second, because of the mixed opinions I’ve heard on it.

There’s chameleons as well.
-
Are those reptile scales on the tale???
-
Guess you can say this is Borderline bad!
Heard the original script was good at least.
-
Ads are showing up at Times Square.
-
Guess the Interstellar release date change should give this and Megalopolis more room to breathe.
-
If that’s true with Interstellar, then at least other films like Megapolis and The Wild Robot have a shot at more success.
-
Wonder how many of the viewings will be students on field trips from their schools.

I think the quote came from an Annecy preview reaction The Wrap did.

I believe TWR was always gonna release in September, but T-one came in and complicated things...

Why the heck is T1 and Wild Robot being released just one week apart from the other? One of them needs to move!
They were originally gonna come out on the same weekend because of T-ones release date change, but TWR pushed itself back a week when that happened.
Though, I wish they had moved it to mid to late October. That would’ve given it more breathing room.

I suppose one could argue that Mutant Mayhem wasn't that impressive a box office performer in August even with a total lack of competition, so Paramount might have been more inclined to experiment with an "after school" sort of strategy here. Would be nice if it and TWR end up feeding into each other. Do wonder if that Piece by Piece movie might attract a certain family audience as well.
Hoping this and TWR are both successful.
