Episode kinda petered out but it basically set up the endgame choice Omega and the Batch will have to make re what Omega wants and needs as opposed to what the Batch dudes want for her
The music stings at the end sounded to me like the musical cue for a certain notable character. But it's been a while since I saw TCW so my memory my be faulty
I'd take Gareth Edwards the director over most of the Hollywood crowd. He just needs to not be the one writing the script.

In the original novel she gets impregnated by Feyd with a daughter just like in this movie. Then neither her nor her husband nor her unborn daughter are ever mentioned again in the ones Frank Herbert wrote. He drops the plot point completely.
Lucas, Spielberg, and Coppola already did a joint presentation for Best Director to Marty for The Departed so I doubt they'll come back for another "coronation" so to speak.
First and third episodes were great. Second episode not close to the same level but still fun overall.
I suspect Episodes 1 and 3 of this season are gonna have the Internet Tinfoil Hat Brigade working overtime.
