  1. Every time Gaga is not on screen the movie comes to a screeching halt. I enjoyed it well enough.
  2. 5 Grammy noms for Gaga this morning for her duet album with Tony Bennett.
  3. The only redeeming quality of this movie is how badly I want to bottom for Richard Madden.
  4. And of course I can’t find a single theater within six hours of me that’s playing this thing this weekend.
  5. Never thought I would want Jim Bakker and Jerry Falwell to run a train on me but HERE WE ARE.
  6. Look, 2021 is the year of recovery. The studios will have their streaming same day releases this year and then in 2022, they’ll go back to the old model. This weekend just proved that people are ready to get back to the movie theater.
  7. I think kids movies may have a harder time recovering as quickly as movies for adults. Most of them aren’t vaccinated so parents are probably still a bit skittish to take them out for now.
  8. Oh man. My first theater experience since Birds of Prey in February 2020. What GLORY! I saw both big releases and liked them both. I thought A Quiet Place Part II was better than the first. Cruella was fun.
  9. I’d really like for this to be good, but I haven’t liked any of these remakes/reimagined origins, so I’m not going to kid myself. Still, it’s an excuse to go to a theater.
  10. You’re not going to get Disney+ shows on home media. They want you to subscribe. Theatrically-released movies will still get releases for the time being. The pandemic really sped up the expiration of that market.
  11. I haven’t seen a movie in the theater since Birds of Prey. Imma try to make it for this one.
  12. To think we’d just be a few weeks away from this movie if it weren’t for MISS RONA’S ASS
  13. I wish Disney would do this with Onward. I didn't get a chance to catch it before the theaters shut.
  14. What a perfect movie! It definitely belongs in the Renaissance discussion even though people leapfrog it between Mermaid and Aladdin. It wasn’t a big hit in theaters, but was big on home video.
  15. Moana clocks in at #42 for the decade on Billboard’s 2010s list. The only soundtracks ahead of it are Frozen (#4), The Greatest Showman (#12), and A Star is Born (#33).
  16. Moana has become a monster since its theatrical release. Its run has been reminiscent of The Little Mermaid.
