  1. I don’t understand how Joker 2 wrapped filming in April and it’s still over a year away from release.
  2. She sold over a million albums in a week last year. Not streamed, SOLD. In 2022. This tour is going to be the first billion dollar tour. The movie will do $180 million+ opening weekend. No question.
  3. Jaws 2 is great! My favorite of the sequels. It had more horror elements than the first and it works for me. 3D and Revenge aren’t good movies but I still watch them because I enjoyed them as a kid. They used to air on TV ALL the time in the ‘90s. The first Jaws is a perfect movie IMO.
  4. Who the fuck put Green Lantern: Beware My Power over Subzero?
  5. I guess I’ll check out TMNT and Blue Beetle next weekend. Just couldn’t get it together this weekend.
  6. Southern states start school earlier than other parts of the country. My school has teachers starting on August 2 and students on August 7.
  7. It all stems from a very small sect of American (white, male, urbanite) writers and journalists who believe that the United States of America is the greatest evil that has been unleashed on planet Earth. No other country could possibly be as bad, and if they did bad things, it’s because the United States had a hand in it. Joseph Khan, a popular American music video director and son of Korean immigrants, talks about this phenomenon a lot. He had some pretty funny viewpoints to share with those (again, white, male, urbanite) think pieces last weekend.
  8. There are really good versions of the Joker in the DC animated movies. You should check some of those out.
  9. So, it took a group of four men to be the only music act that outsold him? Wow. Almost a quarter of the entire world population watched his Aloha special in 1973. Nobody else even comes close.
  10. I mean, you’re spending your time on a domestic box office forum. What other market gets that kind of attention?
  11. If you want to talk 20th century…the conversation begins and ends with Elvis Presley. The most popular secular figure of the 20th century, bar none.
  12. Jesus Christ was a real person. Whether or not he was the son of God is up to your belief system, but he was absolutely a real person.
