She sold over a million albums in a week last year. Not streamed, SOLD. In 2022.
This tour is going to be the first billion dollar tour.
The movie will do $180 million+ opening weekend. No question.

Jaws 2 is great! My favorite of the sequels. It had more horror elements than the first and it works for me. 3D and Revenge aren’t good movies but I still watch them because I enjoyed them as a kid. They used to air on TV ALL the time in the ‘90s.
The first Jaws is a perfect movie IMO.

That's a fairly accurate demo breakdown for bottoms in my personal experience... Well, slightly higher for black, tbh. 👀
That’s because everybody in the south is a bottom.

In 30 Rock Tina Fey is often called ugly despite being gorgeous.
I’d say she was called a slob, not ugly. She loved cheese and living like an old lady.

I guess I’ll check out TMNT and Blue Beetle next weekend. Just couldn’t get it together this weekend.

A perennial Halloween classic and a perennial Christmas classic. We love to see it. ❤️

Is this an US only thing? Am I getting old? I didn't know the school year's like this now.
Southern states start school earlier than other parts of the country. My school has teachers starting on August 2 and students on August 7.

The general near-immediate cultural forgiveness in the Western world for Japan, and the extent to which Japan is nowhere near as associated with a history of evil compared to Germany despite arguably worse sins from the point of view of both sadism, and the mechanics by which an entire population bought in to manifest evil without having had an incident as national-ego-bashing as the end of WW1 was for Germany....is both one of the most fascinating dynamics of the late 20th century, something that would theoretically fascinating to explore on film, and yet so full of eggshells that it would prevent any coherent analysis that was actually agreeable to everyone.
Obviously a lot of it came from the speed of the pivot from fighting fascism to fighting communism but yes, it's a discomforting topic.
It all stems from a very small sect of American (white, male, urbanite) writers and journalists who believe that the United States of America is the greatest evil that has been unleashed on planet Earth. No other country could possibly be as bad, and if they did bad things, it’s because the United States had a hand in it.
Joseph Khan, a popular American music video director and son of Korean immigrants, talks about this phenomenon a lot. He had some pretty funny viewpoints to share with those (again, white, male, urbanite) think pieces last weekend.

TBH I got interested in the Joker after Heath Ledger's portrayal. I mean I have always known about this villain but it's not until Heath that I found out this character could be so interesting. Til this day I still wish I would've seen more of him. I even watched The Suicide Squad to see how Leto's Joker would be but that was...yeah not at all impressive. I did like the Joaquin Phoenix version.
There are really good versions of the Joker in the DC animated movies. You should check some of those out.

No one but just the Beatles doing it negates your comment. I wouldn't put Elvis in the top 20 biggest celebrities worldwide. In the US his celebrity was/is enormous but it didn't extend much beyond the anglosphere.
So, it took a group of four men to be the only music act that outsold him? Wow.
Almost a quarter of the entire world population watched his Aloha special in 1973. Nobody else even comes close.

Good, keep this thinking in your mind.
I mean, you’re spending your time on a domestic box office forum. What other market gets that kind of attention?

This is so “America is center of world” state, out of America this man is not that popular.
You’re on an American box office forum. How are we NOT the center of the world?

He wasn't even the most popular musical act of the 60's/70's.
Other than the Beatles, who outsold him?

If you want to talk 20th century…the conversation begins and ends with Elvis Presley. The most popular secular figure of the 20th century, bar none.

Jesus Christ was a real person. Whether or not he was the son of God is up to your belief system, but he was absolutely a real person.

I don’t understand how Joker 2 wrapped filming in April and it’s still over a year away from release.
