Elvis is about the only one I can think of that obviously had a big impact at the box office. But he was the biggest star (by a long shot) in the history of the music business. Timberlake hasn't made a big impact at the box office and I would think he's more popular than Harry Styles.
I mean, there is a laundry list of Pop stars who tried to make it in movies. Only two or three were actual draws.
Streisand had the biggest impact. She made better movies that were bigger hits than Elvis' fluff.

Harry Styles has 30.9M followers on Twitter. Aka, 36th most followed on the site.
You haven't learned by now that Pop stars are not film draws?
Britney Spears was the most famous person on earth in 2002. Crossroads didn't even cross $40 million.

....back when studios still made commercial movies for adults.
Now all the good stuff is on T.V.
Man, movies and TV have done a 180 since '93.

I was really into the Dark Tower trailer that I saw at WAR until the name "Akiva Goldsman" appeared in the credits.
It's a no from me.

It seems like once a month at our site we always go through who likes the Star Wars films who doesn't like the prequels how much Rogue one sucked or how good it was or how good the force awakens was and so on.
How about we discuss something else besides the same old stuff. Let's discuss how much Chariots of Fire suck your how good it was. Or how good On Golden Pond is or how much it sucks. Or how good down and out in Beverly Hills is or how much it sucks. Anything but Star Wars. We beating that horse so badly after its death that it's not even recognizable anymore.
Those movies are older than most of the clientele here, Daddy. They aren't in the pop Culture echelon in the same way as Star Wars.

Excuse me for sounding like an idiot but what's Tomato Law?
Movies that do really well on Rotten Tomatoes overperform at the box office.

Assuming it gets $2M today and gets near $7M this weekend, I'd say it has a 60% chance at $400M.
That would mean it will have less than $20 million to go after this weekend. There's no way it misses it.

I'm sad, though. The movie is excellent.

I am depressed for America's state right now. All you guys want is Trump, guns and silly funny book movies. You guys are a dying continent.
Talk to us when your entire country's GDP matches one of our states. 💅🏻

WW will be at $379 after this weekend at the low end. How could it possibly miss $400 million? There's just no way.

seriously, after coming back from SMH showing, instead of searching how much it has earnings or its RT score, I googled tom holland's age.

Batman Returns 300x?
I used to watch it every day as a kid. I would wear halloween witch claws and a toy whip and pretend to be Catwoman.
I was a flamer even at 7.
