    You dont

but for example if you are  selling beer to older white mostly blue collar guys... I dont see putting up a trans spokeperson makes sense from a business point of view.

I am talking about business here.

Businesses always look for new revenue streams. New demographics are always welcome to a company that wants people to buy its product.

Respectfully, there is no trolling here. I am merely pointing out facts. How does stating the obvious is considered trolling? You owe me an explanation. I would like to point out that I predicted TLM drops 98% correctly the past weeks. So clearly my points are coming from accuracy. However, if that makes others who are predicting sub 20% drops irritated, I promise, that's not my intention and I will no longer post about TLM in this thread. Have no problem with that at all.

Be careful! You have a different opinion. That’s dangerous honey.

Crazy that Batman and Superman have been pulling those numbers for decades. Batman owned the early ‘90s.

See, that's kind of what I thought it would turn out to be. Yes there is racism all across the world and we're never going to get rid of it. But it seems like this is a sensational kind of story where what you just described here has been used as fuel for the fire when again as you just said, it's just a bunch of little ---- on social media spreading hate. And if it was never picked up by the mainstream media this probably would have went away

    Racism gets clicks.

Where are you guys reading or hearing that death threats are being uttered? I just want to make sure that I am correct in saying that the original of The Little mermaid was animation wasn't it? Are there seriously people in this world that are getting upset did a black actress has replaced a white animated character? And I'm not trying to be facetious or sensational at all in this question I'm actually being sincere. Where are these death threats coming from?

Most of it is complete narrative. There was supposedly an “explosion” of racist backlash against the movie when it was announced that a black woman would be starring in it, yet every news story quoted the exact same two or three tweets from accounts that had single digit followers.

Wow, you must be living on Mars. Whatever associating Politics is bullishit. Please change your mind or better don't write anything about Chinese Box Office if you are too much into who is leading Chinese Politics.

FYI, CFA (China Film Administration) reports CBO. But, there is Maoyan / Taopiaopiao / EnDATA reporting real-time data. Literally, everything from IMAX numbers to individual theatre earnings+scores across the boards (Inclusive of Provincial &City Earnings). Like Avengers: Endgame is still the Highest Grossing Film in Shanghai.

Girl, it was a legitimate question. I don’t know how anything in China works.

  7. Am I going senile? 2003 was a landmark year for gays in mainstream media. Queer Eye was a hit. Bravo premiered that gay dating show. Metrosexual became a thing. Ellen was an out lesbian and premiered a hit talk show. Christina Aguilera had a gay couple kissing and a trans woman in the video for her hit single “Beautiful.”

I was in high school and clearly felt a shift.

Because VFX workers are being streched to their absolute limits by the evils of capitalism. While CGI-heavy films were common in the mid-2000s, they didn't clog up the market as much as they are now. Now every movie is a CGI-heavy tentpole. There's whole-ass TV shows from Disney+ and Netflix that have as much, arguably more VFX gobbledygook than the movies coming out. So you have an entire industry stretched towards its limits. There's too few workers available to do it all, the hours are grueling and take forever, and the deadlines are the tightest they have ever been.

So you have understaffed companies full of people who are overworked and underpaid, and are under the wrath of studio executives who don't give a shit about film as an art form and will force crappy-looking movies out to fill out a spreadsheet and probably get some memes out of it for free publicity. Helps also these movies are done by directors who go from an indie straight to a 100-200M+ production that have no clue how to work with that kind of big budget. So how would they know to make good VFX?

So basically, capitalism is evil, hates the working class, is anti-art, and will kill us faster than the virus will. I hope I already cleared everything up for you, but here's a Vulture article that goes into even greater detail. :)

young me still remembers revenge of the fallen being the coolest thing ever, I will never see it again as I want to keep the illusion intact

I will never forget seeing that movie at midnight a month after my college graduation with a group of my buddies. We looked at each other when the credits started rolling, realizing that our youth was over. That was the worst piece of shit we had ever seen.

Then we had to get up in three hours and go to our brand new big boy college graduate jobs.

Yeah, but you could also pick up searches for "how do I change my avatar on Discord" or whatever.
