    Great opening for TLAM and great hold for THG. If THG crossed $400M that would be the biggest story of 2012 (unless TA beat TDKR)

    HG vs HP makes no sense as they have little in common.Glad to see THG holding well.Cabin in the Woods probably won't have much legs. I saw it and did not think much of it at all sadly. I really wanted to like it but came out underwhelmed.

    I don't hear anyone knocking it but I hear no praise either...people just seem very ho-hum about it. It was over-budgeted anyway and the marketing was weak.

    Er Veronica Mars was actually a pretty decent show (first season anyway).

    Catching Fire will work as a film because it has several action set pieces...the Quarter Quell alone should be a selling point.

    John Carters problem is...its not good or bad. It just seems mediocre so there is no reason to see it. A forgettable movie

    It's a healthy debate. I would not call myself a fan but I have read the first book and agree its entertaining. I think we need to wait until we get Saturday numbers to see if this is a real beast. Still this OD is great and I congratulate LIONSGATE for being smart and resourceful. They are now competing with the big boys.Saturday should see a decrease. There is no way it can keep up this momentum.

    Social Media is irrelevant. Snakes on a Plane had WAY bigger social media hype...and what numbers did it post?Also HP1/sm1 was plastered EVERYWHERE it did not matter about if twitter/facebook was around it was on all major forms of communication/media.
